Hi.
The battery was flat and we got start aid from a Toyota Rav4.
The motor started and everything seemed ok.
When trying to lock the car after arrival at home we discovered that the central locking system did not respond on button press. It was not possible to lock or open the car remotely from the key.
Both set of keys failed to operate the central locking system remotely.

hmm, ok, some vehicles i.e.mine ,has a courtesy light cancelling bitton swith on the dashboard on the lft end or drivers side, I guess it's so a person(s) can enter or exit the vehicle in a stealth mode.. It's not the dash light dimmer although that switch also controls the interior lights, what drove me crazy was whether or not the lights had been turned off individually when a door was open. If thats possible at all. Won't hur to ck. If you still have the owners book it should say somrthing. It more than likely is something that simple. good luck

Battery of fob must be strong to work. You can try reinitialising the fob.

somehow the car when on valet mode, go to a alarm shop , they should be able to re arm your car without to much damage to your pocket, or read your cars manual, it might inform you on how to fix the problem.

Check the fuses. Because of frozen locks, the motors could not operate, thus overloading the circuit and blowing the fuse.
Hope this helps
