Are the coils being powered ? Should have B+ voltage at one wire at coils ? What make , model an year vehicle ? Blown ignition coil fuse . Ignition module bad , crankshaft position sensor bad .

try to check the fuses...

have you checked that power getting to the actual bulb holder if so the bulb holder may be warped and the bulb not sitting on the contacts if no power check wiring to earth from the light should be close by to the chassis

This model always this problem, usually after about 90,000 miles and the other instruments will eventually follow. There are companies that will repair this for you just use google (instrumentclusters.com) to find them. I was charged 185.00 for the repair... GM wanted over 500.00!

It might be your CATalitic converter is in need of replacement.Its probably clogged up.

Go to auto zone have them check your battery and alternater, check battery terminals make sure they are clean and tight. For the power steering check belt and check fluid level.
