My 97 Sebring died about a week ago and now it wont start. Found that the it was not firing. Changed the Distributor cap, rotor and distributor, along with the crank sensor. Placed new spark plugs in about a month ago and also changed out the TCM relay. Still wont start. Last ditch effort is to assume that the problem lies in the computer system. please assist so I can get get her back on the road and let the top down.....summer is here.

Did you check the timing belt to see if it broke? It ha a 2.5 and it has belt. Remove timing cover at the front of the engine and have someone crank it while you watch the cam to see if it turns. If it doesn't turn, replace the belt.

because you have done work on the distributor, that is the area I would be checking. Check for damaged rotor button, cracked cap, ignition module and even the drive shaft of the distributor. There may be something you missed when working on the distributor.

Our 2002 vw gti 4 cylinder doesnt want to start. there is oil around the spark plug cylinder and the car turns over. We changed the crankshaft sensor a week ago due to it dying out, the problem actually...

Take the distributor cap off, crank the engine, see if the rotor turns.
Put it back together.
Remove the center ignition wire from the distributor cap, put the end of the wire within a quarter inch from metal ground, crank the engine, look for a spark.
The engine needs compassion, fuel, and spark to run. Check one thing at a time

Car died on frway towed to shop started up. 3 years ago had tune up and car died. mech said needed new distributor module 400$. got a used one same problem. Changed plug wires and ran fine till now. Thats...

3 years ago, my car was running really rough. No accelleration, stalling etc. I narrowed it down to the distributor and changed it myself for about 100 bucks. Then last week, the car would start sometimes and sometimes not. When it would not start, I found that it had no spark. So it finally quit altogether. I put the old distributor back in (Yes, I kept it), and it ran. It ran rough like it did 3 years prior, but it ran. I have purchased another distributor for $100, and will put it in, and it will fix the problem. The distributor is an all in one package. Coils, rotor, pickups. It's held on by 2 bolts (12mm socket). Pretty easy to change out, just pay attention to the way the rotor is pointing when you take the old one out, and put the new one in the same. 3 year lifespan due to a sh*tty oil seal on them.

1984 volkswagen crank no start getting fuel and spark

You must have the plug leads in the wrong place on the distributor.
Firing order is 1-3-4-2
Remove the distributor cap. There is a tiny mark on the aluminum body where the cap sits on it. Turn the motor clockwise by hand until the rotor lines up with this mark. #1 plug lead should be in the distributor cap hole closest to the rotor in a clockwise direction.
If the motor still does not start rotate all the plug leads 180 Deg.

Wont start after it died one night

The cap should be marked for number 1. The distributor turns clockwise. The firing order is 1-3-4-2.

Spark after i changed distributor cap but wont start

sounds like you haven't indexed the rotor correctly or the cap isn't seated correctly.  Did you replace the plug wires correctly?  Dis you bump the position of the distributor?
