I went to open my car door with my key and the alarm starting going off, I have never used the remote on my keys. Now the alarm wont go off and I can not start my car. What do I do?

You have a failed door ajar sensor is my guess, a dealer can use a scan tool to verify this is the problem.

I have a Dak 2000 3.9 Ltr V6, Single Cab, Bare Bones. ... Panic Mode .... ooops....i mean the remote entry and alarm system does NOT work ... i have a 2002 dakata where can i buy a ctm looked all over nobody sell them can thay be rebuilt ... I was out the door $550.00, and they washed the truck also.

how do I stop my trucks alarm from going off when I open the door? it did it ... to thetruck and opened driver door (it was unlocked) and the alarm started going off. ... I do not have a remote unlocking device (or it doesnt work) so I do all .... alarm will go off then I have to use the FOB panic button to shut it off.

start engine it will turns off alarm system.go to dealership replace the remote battery let them reprogram remote.

the door does not have a key reccognition system,only the ignition,
so if you use the key,without first disabling the alarm,the alarm will go off,SO use the remote to unlock the car and the key to start it....no problem....

Try "cycling the key in the passenger door lock. Turn it all the way to the right and all the way to the left.

you need to reset alarm/immobiliser.lock car with remote, hold button down for 30 secs,then press/hold down unlock button,should reset.another way is with key in ignition/turned on, press alarm button down and hold for 30 secs.this resets immobiliser.toyota

now you know what sets off the nissan alarm.lock the car,with the key, hold key over for 30secs then unlock with remote.should reset system....you unlocked the car manually so you need to lock the car manually....

you must to restart your car alarm

you will have to write your vehicles vin number down wich is if you look throught the windshild on the drivers side you will see it its a little plate with numbers but right down the vin number and take you drivers license and Registration with you to the chevy dealer ship and request the remote for that vehicle. and they should be able to get you one. as far as i know the remote is the only way to get the alarm off. try unhooking battery cable. hook back up and use key remote to unlock car and try to start if no remote use key to unlock
