I know 2002 Lancers with carbies is uncommon. I'm also aware this is an old question. But if it helps someone else...
Assuming you have a carburetor 4G15:

The choke is a wax pellet type and works automatically. As the engine temp rises the wax melts and lets more air in.
The air/fuel mix adjuster is in a tricky position facing the firewall.

I'll re-post a pic I found online that's helped me (not my pic).

To turn the air/fuel screw, you need to mod an old sparkplug. A search should show how it's done.

Easy...the choke can be adjust at the front of the carburetor..it is brass tiny flat screw..dont force the screw!!! its easily broke...you need to push back the spring that pushes the choke in order to screw in the choke...about the air fuel mixture screw...there are 2 screw to adjust...you will need a short flat screwdriver..at the back of the carb...the is also brass screw...that is mainjet adjuster...and at the top its not a screw..that is really hard to adjust!! you neet a special tool to spin it...remember..that hard to adjust screw is crucial!!! if you get it wrong...its hard to go back...so if you wanna do so...you must be mentally ready....

Carburator and idle problem

Believe it or not you just said the solution to your own problem manufacturers specs requires for any adjustments to engine idle or other carburator adjustments to be preformed while the engine is idling and at normal operating temp in plain english let the car warm up then make your idle and mixture adjustments if this doesnt solve it i would check the auto choke and make sure it is opening at normal operating temp hope this helps good luck

Mitsubishi lancer 2002 4g15 gdi it start ok idle ok but no power when moving an start miss an no check engine light . I do a diagnosed test an no fault

Start by verifying that the timing belt has not jumped a few teeth. You may also have a vacuum leak or poor fuel pressure. Undo the gas cap and see if the problem goes away. If it does, the fuel pump may be worn out.

What size of water jacket is fitted to lancer 4G15 engine?

I'm unclear what you actually need to know. The 4G15 came with two radiator sizes, about 12" wide for cars without A/C, and about 22" wide for cars with A/C or automatic transmission.

The coolant capacity is 5 6 liters.

1998 ck2a lancer 4g15 no go. have replaced dizzy, computer and tps. has spark and injector pulse and timing is fine. any help appreciated

the next thing to check is the fuel system.
is there fuel in the system, the tank, fuel lines. is there fuel pressure at the injectors? check the fuel pump electrical system, the fuse, fuel pump relay, fuel cut off circuit. some factory security system have a fuel inhibitor, that disable the fuel pump circuit!

Hello I have a 1980 Ford Bronco 351 2bbl. Wondering if anyone knows which screws adjust what? Please if anyone has any ideas please respond. Thank you.

Here are some images that might help to assist you, and let me know if you require any further assistance.

Adjust the curb idle with the engine warmed up and the choke off.

The air/fuel mixture screws should be adjusted with the engine warmed up and at normal idle speed, then turn each air/fuel mixture screw in one at a time until the engine just begins to mis-fire, then back the air/fuel mixture screw out 1-1/2 to 2 turns out a half a turn at a time until the engine idle is the smoothest. (your vehicle might have restrictor caps over the air/fuel mixture screws to limit the amount of adjustment)

Adjust the fast idle screw to the proper RPM with the engine cold and the choke on.

How to adjust air fuel mixture on a 87 suzuki samuria

On any carburator, one screw is for the idle speed, the other the air/fuel mix.Start the engine and let it get plenty warmed up. Adjust the idle screw to make the engine run slow. Turn the air/fuel screw in until the engine starts to die then out till it starts running loady. You want the screw between these two locations. Adjust it till the engine runs the fastest. Now adjust the idle speed screw to about 1000 RPM.
I hope this helps you.
