You removed the AC compressor? DId you block it in like A-6 compressors or just open the system? If you did not block it in, then you are required to flush the whole system replace the R/D or dessicant and check the OT or EV. Then you add the oil or seal and add oil charge and evac it and then charge it. This is not going to be cheap. You could have just R/R the clutch without taking the compressor off.

SOURCE: air conditioning not cooling properly

It sure sounds like a restriction, but you seem to have covered most all the bases I would (I am a ASE Master technician) see if the fixed orifice is plugged or restricted??, maybe the system is freezing up, is the compressor cycling switch set correctly to approx 28-32 psi??

SOURCE: 1995 Honda Civic-AC only blows cool air

the reason it's getting warmer is most likely due to a slow leak. it need the proper amount to be cool. less or more and it will be warm. it's also possible when it was charged he added too much or not enough. also if air is in the system (from not vacuuming the system or in the refrigerant tank) it will not cool as well.

the car need to be recovered, vacuumed (checked for leaks), refilled after purging the refrigerant tank of air.

Air conditioning systems are always high-pressure systems, simply because the refrigerant used is a gas forced to become liquid.

In fact, a loss in pressure in the cooling lines means that your system will have no cooling capacity.

Your problem description points towards your compressor not engaging. There could be a switch in your car's interior/dashboard that indicates 'COOL' or A/C (or something like it) that should manually engage/disengage your a/c compressor.

In case this still does not work, your compressor clutch or the electrical system engaging this is faulty and will need the attention of a qualified service technician.

Hope this helps.

It sounds like you've done just about everything except to check if there is a bad or intermittent wire causing this or perhaps your low-pressure safety cutout switch is possible going bad causing the compressor to kick on and off?

1972 chevy c10

the best suggestion is to give up on replacing compressor clutches and have the system done by an accredited ac specialist shop
excessive pressure from excessive gas is hydraulicing the compressor and making the clutch slip burning it out
next flushing the system removes all of the compressor oil in the system leaving the compressor running virtually dry
next when a system is opened , moisture laden air gets in and that has to be vacuumed out for a period of 2 hours minimum or the water in the air turns to ice and blocks the tx valve
freon gas ( if that the gas that is supposed to be used as many now run r134a) is inserted ,not by the can but by the low pressure and high pressure readings on a manifold gauge designed for that purpose
I would say that by now you would have spent more money than what it would have cost you at the ac specialist shop

Warning light says Low Refrigerent-AC/Off. I tried to recharge the system but the Compressor won't engage, How do I get the Compressor to come on so as I can recharge the system. Is it a pressure swithch...

in order to recharge the ac you first must clear the trouble code for the ac off warning. when you get this warning the computer shuts down the compressor to keep it from running without the lubricant that is in the freon. clear the trouble code and the compressor will run and you can recharge the ac.

Ac compressor clutch does not engage

to prevent damage to the air conditioning system there is a "low pressure switch" located on the condenser near the low pressure hose (large one) .. if the refrigerrant (R134A) gets too low then the clutch will be blocked from activating by that switch .. you can have your system tested and recharged or you can do that yourself .. the R134A is available at auto parts stores .. some come with a gague that is required for proper charge .. if you dont already have a gage then yoiu will need that one ... recharge kits often come with instructions .. other less likely but possible problems could be a fuse or bad AC clutch relay. sometimes damaged wiring or bad clutch will be the problem but much more likely just low fluid ..

Installation for compressor / hyundai xg 350 l

Assuming you have HVAC experience and are licensed to perform this service, you'll first need to recover the R-134A refrigerant from the system (if there's any in it). If there isn't, you'll still have to vacuum before recharge (w/refrigerant & PAG oil). Is there a compressor presently installed?
If so, you'll need to recover any existing refrigerant. Then disconnect the High & Low pressure tubes from the compressor.
Remove the A/C drive belt
Remove the wire harness connector to the compressor magnetic clutch
Remove the 4 12mm bolts which mount the compressor to the engine
Raise the vehicle & remove the FR wheel, plastic splash guards (RH & lower - below the oil filter).
Raise the engine so to increase/clear space for removal of the compressor.
Installation of 2nd compressor is in reverse order.

PS. Some technicians perfer to remove the compressor from the top (requires removal of the radiator cooling fan & the alternator). Some have also removed the LH Exhaust Manifold to make it easier to reinstall the alternator & compressor.

On my 2003 Chevy Silverado, the A/C compressor won't kick on. Just blows out warm/hot air.

The ac system may need freon added,if the system is low,or out of freon,it will not allow the ac compressor to come on.

The air conditioner quit.

You can run alternate power source to ac clutch to see if compressor works,if comp comes on should have leak, can buy dye and freon at locale parts house fairly cheap and install to find leak.Good place to look for leak is in front of radiator in ac condensor, rocks from road tend to damage them frequently.
