Local mechanic told was gonna cost me $430 to replace the fuel pump on my 92 acclaim. Even if that price includes maybe $50 for the tow to his shop.. seems like that a lot of expensive labor....

assuming electric fuel pump
1.0 hr labor to replace 80.00 to 120.00 per hour
fuel pump module approx, 240.00
1.0 hrs to diagnose 80.00 to 120.00
towing 50.00

top price 400.00 +tax

Timing engine

Sounds like you're a tooth off on the belt. Shift it to the next tooth and try it again.

Plymouth acclaim ignition repair

the ignition cylinder will run you about 20$ and it is fairly easy to change you can change it yourself buy the chilton book (it will help later) and it will be cheaper than paying for labor although the entire replacement will take less than 30 min
