2004 Ram 1500 55k squeak noise In eng

There is nothing in the engine that remains at a constant speed as revs increase. My bet is the climate control system, circulation fan or a blend door actuator. They would be the other side of the firewall whilst you are in the engine bay and the sound is behind the engine.

The other thing you can try is a piece of plastic pipe in your ear and use the other end as a stethoscope.

Knocking noise in 100 series landcruiser and small amount of clear fluid leaking passenger side of engine bay, car still drives well, can only hear knock at low speed? Not sure what problem is

run the fault codes and look for knock detector problem. The clear fluid at the passenger side of the engine bay may be water from the ac system draining out.

Noise under driver side when I go over a bump

it sounds like the windage tray underneath the engine is loose and needs to be buttoned back up. i recommend looking into it because in the case of a heavy rain, water could enter the engine bay easier and knock off the serpentine belt. and a disrepaired windage tray affects highway gas mileage.

Rain water leaking in drivers side vauxhall meriva

if this is a new shape meriva the problem is the wiper scuttle seal leaking water .it drips into the engine bay, onto the heater pipes and tracs into the cabin.Pour water onto the screen and look into the engine bay, just behind the engine and you will see it drip onto the heater pipes where they enter the bulkhead. It then tracs into the cabin and soaks the carpet. The problem is a foam seal on the scuttle panel when it should be a rubber one.One fix is to ensure that the seal where the heater pipes enter via the engine bay is dry and spray it and the pipes with underseal.Vauxhall are aware but dont have a solution?

Hi,

Improve the Fixya.com experience for everyone by voting!

Your knock sensor on your 3.8 litre engine is under the hood, passenger side, rear engine area, below exhaust manifold, mounted in engine block.

[I'm not alloted enough space to show you a picture of the knock sensor]

Your EGR valve is located under the hood, center, driver side, mounted on upper center driver side of engine

Engine knocks when you go in reverse why?

If it knocks when you go from Drive to Reverse or Park to Reverse than its usually a rear engine mount, Bushing or bolts to engine cradle under engine near firewall in center of engine bay towards passenger side. This is for a single or tourqe knock Which means the engine rotates too far and makes contact with a part of the engine bay it should not, or it is loose enough to make the sound.

Easier to notice in a stick shift car than a automatic test by setting Ebrake and putting car into reverse go from drive to reverse in idle with foot on brake if its knocking only when you go into gear this is the problem.

2002 chevy silverado hd2500 6.0 ecm code po332 low voltage knock sensor 2 bank 2 does this mean knock sensor is deffective causing ecm to throw this code and if so should both sensor be replace and which...

If all connections are good "dry, tight, no corrosion" then yes. It should be a defective sensor. These sensors are piezo sensors and create a voltage when sensing a knock. A bank refers to a side on a V style engine, 2 refers to the rear sensor on your bank 2. Bank 1 should be the side with cylinder #1 which should be the cylinder closest to you on one of the sides. So your looking for the rear sensor on the opposite side.
