2001 VW Golf GTi VR6 On the MAF sensor connecting plug you will see 5 pin numbers. Each pin number correspond to a wire color: Pin no.# 1 = violet/green, is comming from pin no.# 26 of ECM. ECM = Engine Control Module. Pin no.# 2 = blue/yellow, is comming from fuse no.# 43 = 10 Amp. (battery plus is comming through a blue wire from pin no.# 23 of fuel pump relay). Pin no.# 3 = green, is comming from pin no.# 27 of ECM. Pin no.# 4 = red/violet, is comming from pin no.# 53 of ECM. Pin no.# 5 = black, is comming from pin no.# 29 of ECM.
if you dont get the o2 sensors replaced it will cause the car to overheat cause im having the same problem with my golf gti vr6 had it dionosed and both my o2 sensors are out nothing else is bad and now it overheats due to the o2 sensors
ive bought a cat back scorpion exhaust for my mk4 2.0 golf gti the problem is its banging off the bottom off the car witch is doing my nut in i bought a 4motion rear valance for the cut out for the tail pipe witch was a waist of time as the exhaust is no where near the cut out as it will not go any higher because its already hitting the body does any one else have this problem your advice on this would be helpfull thanks
