I have a 1992 Saab 900 Turbo. It has the Tape deck/radio up top and down near the shifter it has the seperate clarion cd player. All stock. The radio works, but it looks like no power is going to cd player. How should I fix this, or is there something special to use cd player. Thank you.

could be the anti-theft device in the radio. it requires you to put the 4 digit code in to "unlock" the radio for use. This number should have been given to you by the seller -otherwise can be obtained by a previous SAAB dealer. This can happen when the battery is disconnected for a period of time

On non turbo's the setting is 14 degrees before top dead center (BTDC) and for turbo's it is 16 degrees BTDC

take it to the dealer with proof you own the car

have you checked the shift coupler, you can see it if you look down at rear of engine on trans side. Mabey get someone to mave shifter around while you examin its operation

Has info on just about every thing, including shifter. You didn't say whether yours is manual or auto. You could source a used shifter from your local Saab specialist or local junk yard, though there aren't too many Saabs at the wreckers; a good sign!

first check your glove box and/or flip through your owners manual if you have one, people usually write it down somewhere in the car. mine was written on top of the radio when i pulled it out. the face of the radio easily pulls out, dont go out and buy the tool to do so as you can put your finger in the tape deck and pull straight back, the radio will pull right out and the vin will be right on top, call the dealer with the number and they will look up the code if you have not found it already
