Airbag light stays on when the system has detected a fault and switched the system off. Sometimes it isn't an airbag light but an SRS (supplemental restraint system) light that also includes seatbelts and seatbelt pretensioners.

please don't play with the air bag , if it deploys it will cost many dollars worth of damage, take it back to the dealer to repair any faults.

Obviously the warning means there is a fault with the airbag system and while the warning appears the air bag system will probably not work. The warning light will remain until the problem is fixed.

You will need to take the car to a Hyundsi dealer to have them check for the fault and rectify it. It may just be a faulty or dead AB system sensor that needs to be replaced.

Hi there:The Restraints Control Module (RCM / located behind right side of the instrument panel) monitors the resistance of the driver side air bag circuit loop and the air bag module igniter at RCM, if the resistance is greater than 3.6 ohms, the RCM will store diagnostic trouble code B1994 and flash lamp fault code.
About the possible causes, pay attention that a high resistance on the driver side air bag circuit can be caused by:

• - damaged wiring on circuit 1257 (WH/LB).
• - damaged wiring on circuit 1258 (BN/LB)
• - damaged driver side air bag module.
• - damaged RCM.

You need to connect to vag com or some else computer program to see the error code and when remove prroblem you need to delet the error from car computer memory to get rid of the light.
The most common problems are: blown fuse, bad connection under the seat or something like that! But you can't do nothing without the comp.
