How do i fix a u1120 code?

The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) doesn't receive a wheel distance message from the Anti-lock brake Module or FCM (NON-ABS) over the CAN C bus. One trip fault.

Code u1120 Lost Wheel distance what does this mean and how do I repair it?

U1120 means the abs module has lost communication with speed sensors. You'll need a scanner to monitor speed sensors. If problem is in module you won't get communication with scanner. Follow your brake lines from master cylinder to ABS pump/module, on the side of in is a wired connector. Undo it and check for moisture or corrosion. Get some dielectric gel and smear it good on all contacts. And plug back in and retest. Might need new module or speed sensor

the PCM or the anti-lock brake module. This type of problem is best diagnosed by the dealer or a

I have the exact same 5 codes, as written in the question. Vehicle is experience a host of intermittent electrical issues, with almost all electrical components sometimes working and sometimes not.

Engine light comes on problem code is U1120

U1120 means the PCM doesn't receive a vehicle speed signal from the Anti-lock brake Module over the CAN C bus. This can be caused by the ABS module, PCM or something wrong with the can bus. This might be just an erroneous code and may never set again

On my car the check engene light went on I took it to auto zone they use small scanner they gave us this code that we want to know what it is u1120 they cound't find it on their computer,

Good Evening, the u1120 is a dealer specific code and like the calibers and such it is a lost wheel distance code. Hope that helps.

Hi...
The code U1120 on DODGE,JEEP.CHRYSLER, PLYMOUTH.

The Defenition for this code is ; Lost Wheel Speed message.

Is related to a loss of speed comunication on the ABS Module.
And the ECM. Over the CAN C BUS.

Possible Causes. Can c bus, Open circuit or shorted.
Anti-lock Brake Module. Damaged. normally this happend when the car had an Accident. and is scrached.
On Rare Cases the ECM defective or desprogramed.
And some times Come As a Result of giving jump cables to start the Vehicle.

We left the key on in our Jeep wrangler all night and flattened the battery. When we boosted it to start it the check engine light came on. Code said U1120. I cleared the code and it has not come back on. Contribute it to the boost - it seems to be fine now.

Hi,

I was made to understand two (2) conflicting results:

U1120 - SCP (J1850) Invalid or Missing Data for Primary Id;
U1120 - Lost Wheel Distance

Initially, you may want to reset the PCM by disconnecting the negative battery cable or ask your dealer to "re-flash" the CPU or better yet replace the PCM under powertrain and/or federal emissions (8/80,000) warranty.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

The code that you have is: LOSS OF WHEEL DISTANCE MESSAGE which is in the traction control or wheel speed sensors for the ABS SYSTEM Here is the wiring schematic for the circuit
