How to fix a peeling dashboard in my 2003 yukon xl?

Peeling dashboard? I take it that its from the sun fading it and its now dryed up and peeling? Not a whole lot to do for this problem. One would be to buy a very inexpensive dash cover(kind of like a carpet for the dash) and the other would be replacing the dash(very expensive) They do sell dash repair kits, although I have never heard of much success with these paste mix kits.
