I had a flat tire. i put on the spare and gotten all my tires change to new tires, but the tire pressure light is still on. and if i was to speed up the light in my car will pop on, so i had to buy some tab and put it on the back door latch to stop that problem. Is this car having some kind of sensor problem?

Sounds like they broke your Tire Pressure Monitoring Sensor.

I know you have a Suzuki, but read this forum thread and I believe you will find it very enlightening and close to your specific situation... It sounds like you need to have a talk with the service manager where you got your tires put on.

2006 Pacifica & the (!) light is on and says service tire system soon..1 tire low pressure. I put new tires on it yesterday and the light hasn't gone off. Could it be because I don't have a spare

If you had tires installed and light stayed on it is possible not having spare but normally the tps sensor (tire pressure sensor) or tpm tire pressure monitor or it got damaged when new tires got installed.

Just put new tires on my 2008 dodge ram1500 now low presure light is on no sensors in velvestems how do i get light off

Hi
1: set the tires pressure ( including spare tire) according to the sticker on the door side,
2: drive for 10 minutes at speed more than 15 MPH
3: park and keep the engine running, press the button ( light load) to reset the tires pressure and hold it for 10 sec.

Good luck

How do i get this low tire pressure light to turn off if all my tires have proper air in them???

First you need to know how the system works. Your factory rims should have magnetic valve stems, thats how the on board computer detects them, the rolling speed of a tire at 32 psi. is different than at say 25 psi. thats how the computer knows it's not at the right pressure. so if you have done anything to change the fact of the special valve stem I told you about such as putting you spare tire on this would be cause of your light being on. cause the spare tire does not have the special valve stem.

Tire pressure light

have you had new tires put on resently? check your tire pressure placard to find out what you should be running its on the inside of your driver door. then if all the tires match what they should be and you have gotten tires put on recently or a flat fixed possibility didnt reset it... or maybe one is broken.

Had a flat, put spare on,tire light on dash is still on,Is this because the spare is not a full size tire?

Hi,If your Hyundia is at least a 2007 or above it most likely has a TPMS(Tire Pressure Monitoring System) and a low tire lite on the dash. The spare tires don't have a TPMS sensor in them. Have your original tire repaired of the flat, when you put the stock wheel and tire back on the car at a proper inflation of at least 32-35psi, the low tire pressure lite should go out soon after.

How do I reset my low tire pressure warning light on my 2006 toyota tundra.

There are two ways to reset the indicator light - the first is to hold down the button (hidden under the dashboard next to the steering column) until the light goes out. That's a reset.
There's also a reactivation, you hold the button until the light flashes three times and then release, that's for use after a wheel is changed, etc. Make sure they have done the reactivation, not just the reset.
If that doesn't work, have them check the technical service bulletins.

Everyone gets confused on this. I see it all the time. Good luck and thank you for using Fixya

The Highlander uses an Indirect Tire Pressure Monitoring System versus Direct type.

There is NO transponder in the air valve. The H/L uses a plain tire old valve. Thus, there is no PSI reading done by this Indirect Type System.
It uses the ABS speed sensors to calculate differences of tire rotational speed among the Four rolling tires(the Spare IS NOT included).
When the spare tire is put on, say when yu get a flat tire, the TPMS button must be pressed. (Recalibrated)

Direct Type TPMS costs more for Toyota and only puts it on select models. i.e. the Land Cruiser...
But for Toyota, the Indirect System meets DOT's TPMS mandated minimum Requirements for 2007 vehicles.

The Direct type system uses a transponder/PSI reader type Air Valve on each tire(including the Spare). Each of the 5 tires send a reading of the PSI to the reciever in the Vehicles TPMS ECU.
It has a small battery and is self powered. Battery must be replaced when yu replace your tires. It must be carefully mounted. Each tire has it's owner frequency channel and ID. for it to be recognized by the ECU.
This system is more precise. But has it's own set problems as a result.

It is the original design TPMS going back to the 1980's introduced with the Corvette and the Runflat Tire option.

How do i turn off the low tire pressure warning light? I changed the flat tire.

The low tire pressure light gets a signal from each tire's (including the spare) sending unit in the valve stem. If all five of the tires are reinflated to the proper pressure the light will shut its self off. If the sensor was damaged when the tire was replaced it should be replaced with a new one.

Low tire pressure light won't stay off after proper reset.

Some newer Toyota vehicles have a sensor in the spare tire. Tires loose air over time naturally. I would check out the spare.
When did this TPS light start coming on?
Have you had new tires put on, or had a flat repair done before the light?

Tire warning light won't go off

the tire in the trunk has a sensor also check the spare tire pressure , only the dealer will tell you this after you are charged to mount and balance the spare in the trunk..
