Mdsarnes, The first thing that I would check is the fuse for the low beams located in the engine compartment power distribution box. (Fuse box) GM does have a legend written right on the cover so you know which fuse to check. Also, when the low beams are on try and wiggle the connectors to each bulb. If these dont work, replace one bulb and see if it works. If it does then take the same bulb and try it on the other side. If you have a test light then you can test for power at the plugs before you purchase any bulbs. Good luck with this.

Low beam dont work

usually both lights don't go at once so it is probably the resistor on the same circuit, probably just a fuse or relay! get a wiring diagram for illumination and test the circuit with a DVOM, bet you just have a bad connection, or loose wire, bad relay.....

Replace headlight on a Pontiac Grand Prix

The Grand Prix uses separate bulbs for low beams and high beams. The low beams are located on the outer edge of the headlight assemblies while the high beams are located on the inner edge of the assemblies. With this in mind, locate the position of the burned out bulb prior to replacing it.

My low beams don't work and both left and right fuses are good. What is the problem?

Your headlight switch is in the turn signal switch. You will have to replace the whole switch. But you may try to fix it, it's already broke. It's worth a shot. I fix these switches all the time.

I have 2006 grand prix and the bright lights wont come on. I move the blinker lever forward and the low beams stay on but i get the blue bright light on the dash, checked fuses all seem to be okay

do you hear the click of the dimmer switch when you move the lever if you do then the steel rod that goes from the lever to the switch itself is working and the switch is moving from the low beam to high beam circuit.if the blue dash indicator is on them power is coming out of the switch to the dash to operate the light.its possible that the dimmer switch may need to be adjusted a little if you don`t hear the click but moves enough to put the dash light on but not enough to turn the high beams on,that is possibly why the low lights stay on.or you have a bad dimmer switch itself

2002 pontiac grand prix gt. High beams are dimmer

A loose ground wire to the headlight will keep it dim,Or a headlight adjustment will bring the headlight up.If you can have your headlight turned on a garage door or something at night, and then watch as you change your headlights from low beam to high beam which ones are higher.the last thing to verify is that your high beam headlights are not the plastic lens type that turn dull which cuts the light power.
