200 grand caravan 3.3. Ran fine. Shut it off, now won't start. Sounded like dead battery (crazy clicking). Jumped it *positive, then pos. on oher car, then neg on engine, then neg on other car). It started, drove home. died when I truned on headlights, gauges where going crazy etc. Tested battery, it was bad. Installed new battery, now it won't turn over, the radio doesn't work, nor does the overhead trip computer but the crazy clicking sounds are gone. Can't figure this one out.

Have you checked to see if all of the fuses are good? That could be the cause for the radio and the tripometer not working.

I have had battery and alternator checked, both are good. Battery was dead, jumped car, started and ran fine. Drove 30 minutes, shut off and sat for 2 hours. Started fine again, just went to gas station...

Most likely you have a bad battery. The second option is that you have a faulty wiring and there is a constant load that takes a lot of power, but it does not make a short circuit. Check the electrical relays, maybe it's in them.

Caravan won't start after shifter cable replaced

Make sure the transmission range selector switch is adjusted correctly it is the switch just below the shift cable post. Also try to start it in Neutral rather than park position.

My 2005 caravan won't start. When I turn the key I hear a clicking sound but it doesn't start. It worked fine earliar today. The battery is fine for now.

Possible causes are: 1. Loose or corroded battery cables. 2. Bad starter 3. Dead battery. Try tapping on the starter with a hammer while someone is holding the key in the start position. If it starts then replace the starter. Thanks

The Jeep has set for about 6 months. A week ago: battery dead, jumped it but would not start. I replaced the coil, jumped it and it started instantly and ran better than it has in years. Yesterday, I...

Check to see if you have spark at the coil. If you have spark at the coil and no spark at the plug, you probably have a bad distributor cap and/or rotor.

If there is no spark at the coil, you need to find out if there is voltage present at the B+ terminal of the coil.
No B+ could be anything from a bad ASD relay to a broken wire or burned fusible link.

If B+ voltage is present at the coil, the "NO-SPARK" condition could be caused by anything from a bad Crankshaft Position Sensor (CKP) to a bad Ignition Control Module (ICM) To a bad Electronic Control Unit ((ECU) - AKA Engine Control Module)

My vehicle dies everytime I turn it off...

how old is your battery, have you tried a new one?Sometimes a really stuffed battery also interferes with the ECU,and can result in switching things on and off.

sounds like the alternator has stopped charging or has bad connection at battery

Battery? Altinator? or Electrical?

Typical problem on these. The starter relay is probably the culprit,
