Recently my Hyundai Tucson Diesel (2006) shut down on the road and would not restart. It was initially thought to be the fuel pump but that has be checked. I was then advised it could be the crankshaft or the camshaft sensor. I was able to purchase a new camshaft sensor but it did not solve the problem. However, I cannot locate the crankshaft sensor. Is there anyway to check to really see if it is a crankshaft sensor problem I have. Is there any testing procedure. My dealer is expecting a shipment in about a months time but in the mean time I am without a car.

SOURCE: cruise control installation

Not really sure on parts pricing (probably very expensive) but very complicated and work intensive to install... Need to get the engine computer reprogrammed for cruise control, install all the wiring (to the brake light switch, the speed sensors, etc...) install the servo/vacuum motor and cables to the throttle assembly...

Trouble Code 33 and 34 are the MAF/MAP Sensor Circuit. It sounds like you've replaced that sensor already. Did you also have the code 34 before putting in the new sensor?
Or did this code start after it's replacement? Any other codes appearing?

Troubleshooting it would depend if it has the Speed Density Update. The dealer should be able to provide that info.

Here's your fault code list:

13 oxygen sensor circuit 14 coolant temp sensor circuit (high temp) 15 coolant temp sensor circuit (low temp) 21 throttle position sensor (TPS) circuit (high signal) 22 throttle position sensor (TPS) circuit (low signal) 23 manifold air temp (MAT) circuit (low temp) 24 vehicle speed sensor (VSS) circuit 25 manifold air temp (MAT) circuit (high signal) 31 wastegate solenoid electrical circuit 32 exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) circuit 33 mass air flow (MAF) circuit (gm/sec high) 34 mass air flow (MAF) circuit (gm/sec low) 41 cam sensor circuit 42 C3I EST or bypass circuit failure 43 electronic spark control (ESC) circuit 44 oxygen sensor circuit (lean exhaust) 45 oxygen sensor circuit (rich exhaust) 51 PROM error 52 calpak error 55 ECM error

The camshaft position sensor is located on the engine near the timing belt cover and under the upper radiator hose.

SOURCE: Hyundai Tucson

The transmission filter is inside the transmission. You have to drain out the oil and remove the transmission pan and gasket. The filter is made of metal guaze and is screwed/bolted to the underneath of the valve body.

You might have an air lock in the fuel system. The lines from the injector pump possibly need broken loose at the injectors and cycle the fuel pump several times until nothing but pressurized fuel comes out.

Hyundai tucson 2006 start overheating out of

Waterpump, seems like a likley culprit. Your Ac compressor belt runs over your water pump. when the ac is on it puts more load on your engine , your water pump may be defected and not able to handle the extra load.
