2001 V-6 Camaro 5spd 160,000 miles starts, stalls, wont stay running. Let it sit for a few minutes will start again but still sputters and shuts down. Feels like it is not getting enough gas, wont stay on. Fuel filter, plugs, wires, air filter are all good. You can hear the fuel pump working.Has been a great smooth running car so far, Love it but what else is it most likely to be? It is not acting like a Chevy Blazer did when its fuel pump went out its different.???

Do a fuel pressure test. If you have compression, and good spark, this is where you should start.

When it is cold it will start and run for about five minutes then shut off like you turned the switch off then it won't start again until it sits for a couple of hours. If I keep the rpm's up to about 2000...

First, if it is running that bad with the spitting and sputtering and all, the Check Engine light has GOT to be SCREAMING at you! If so, then that would be the first step. Get your engine computer scanned to find out why the Check Engine light is on.
If the Check Engine light is for some odd reason, not getting involved in this, I would still start with a scan and then watch the data stream to see what is going away to make the engine act the way it is. It sounds like you probably have a bad Crankshaft Position Sensor, but I would not go out and buy a new one before checking for other possibilities.

Car shuts down when driving.ley sit for a short time will start again.but will repeat every few miles

You really need a fuel pressure gauge, run it in the driveway until it stalls, and see if you lose fuel pressure. Check the oil, if it's too low the sensor will shut off the fuel pump.

Car spits and sputters and stalls after driving a while

sounds like a fuel pump problem, with fuel pumps u can have pressure but not enough volume, try goin up a steeper hill in 2nd gear and get about 3000 rpms on the engine and see if it really drops out bad and is really gutless,if that happens without a check engine light coming on it might be yur pump and u should also replace the fuel filter at the same time, hope this helps

REPLACED CONTROL MOUGIL STARTS NOW BUT WONT STAY RUNNING LONG

look for a bad fuel line.
Sometimes when taking a sharp turn the tire will pinch the fuel line.

Stalling

Possibly faulty ignition module is the problem, stalls when engine is hot when you sit for a while it cools off and runs again until it heats up again, those are usually the symptoms of a bad ignition module and after a while it may give out all together and not run at all, usually if the module is at fault it shuts down the fuel pump so the engine don't load up with fuel, do to when engine continuously cranks over the injectors never stop squirting fuel and flood the engine do to lack of spark which is produced by the module, this could possibly be your problem.
