P0740 is the torque converter malfunction code. The converter is in between the engine and transmission. The fluid that you are seeing is transmission fluid. It needs to go to a mechanic to narrow it down from there.

code p0730 refers to incorrect gear ratio.==causes --wiring--TR sensors/switch--shift solenoids--transmission mechanical fault code p0780 refers to gear selection--shift malfunction====causes--wiring--TR sensor---shift solenoids--transmission mechanical fault.. have the shift solenoid checked out. Have a pressure test done on the transmission to check for internal damage.
B is oil and filter change with brake inspection and clean, lube , adjust
1 would be tire rotation
2 is replace engine and cabin air filters
3 is replace transmission fluid
your car could still be under warranty depending on the miles the car have call your Acura dealer for info. I had my transmission replaced in Feb 09 and it was done for FREE!!
