The rear wiper on my 07 pontiac montana has appeared to die. I have checked the fuse and it is fine. Is there something else I should look at before taking it in for a wiper motor replacement

All of these circuits are controlled by the key switch. If the fuses for these circuits are good but have no voltage, I would check the key switch next.
The fuse for the rear wiper is located in the interior fuse panel on the passenger door side of the dash. It is the 3rd one down from the top in the left column (#3) and it is a 15 amp.
I would check fuse, make sure it is good. I would pull panel and make sure you are getting 12 volts to motor, if you are it could be a bad motor, I would find out what one costs from your auto parts store, then call a reliable auto center, and get a repair quote from them, Please let me know what you find.
There are 2 relays and one fuse. the locations are all detailed in your owners manual (one relay under the hood, a fuse and a relay in the cabin on the passenger side fuse box)
When you purchase a wiper blade, the step-by-step instructions are included in the package. It will be a matter of carefully pulling up and out, then reverse the steps to install.
