My '88 F250 4x4 Diesel Won't turn over, Makes a "click" noise when key is turned. Amps are showing low (around 9-10) on the interior gauge... Batteries are at full charge. I've replaced the positive & negative leads, the regulator, the solonoid, and the starter. What to do next?

Probably one or both or your batteries are low or shot, check both of them. Hope this helps-Jim If water in them is low, refill with distilled water, and then charge them. If it still doesn't start, you may need a replacement.

When I turn on the key everything comes on but it won't start

check starter hot wire. runs to positive post of battery. If just clicking noise check battery posts. lights will still come on if battery has some connection but a starter take a lot of cranking amps. If that dont work try jumping it.

Wont start

the clicking noise is usually 2 things, step on try jump starting car and if starts have battery tested as it is probably bad (free testing at most chain auto stores), the other usual problem is that the starter has gone bad, when whoever tried turning off car while driving might have put into start mode and burnt out the starter when it engaged at high speed.

When i turn the key to start the car,all the elec. cuts off.at the same time it makes as a clicking noise.

Dead battery, charge it or buy a new one or jump it. You have enough juice to play radio and lights, but you dont have the cranking amps to turn the motor over. Thats why it clicks

My truck won't start and makes a clicking noise when I turn the key?

You either have a bad connection at the battery terminals or your battery is on it's way out. It is clicking because there is enough amps to activate the starter solenoid, but not enough amps to rotate the starter.
