That hissing sound is the vacuum line knocked off the servo that shuts off the heater core so the AC will work more effeciently. Your getting warmer.

My heater stoped blowing hot air.antifreeze level

If the blower is blowing air just fine, but you cannot control the temperature, you need to listen to air coming from the vents while turning the temperature from hot to cold. If you do n ot hear any change in airflow, then you may a temperature door in the dash broken. this is becoming a common problem on the Equinox and Pontiac Torrent,

06 Chevy Suburban Dash fan stopped working

this is because you have a bad switch which has gone bad and you need to replace it or either try to bypass it through another circuit.

Heater fan blowing intermittently or not at all

unhook your battery unplug the harness that's touchy get a sharp object that you can pry the connectors together with you will see them wide open crimp then tight enough to get a good tight fit, the amperage draw from the motor has stretched them out and when it gets warn with current passing threw it opens up and loses contact. while it's apart take a emory board and clean the flat spades on the other side so you have a good connection.

Heater fan blowing intermittently or not at all

Most likely it does, if you can hit the motor and it will run. I can't say for sure but you might want to chk. to see if you got a heater blower motor resister. There located (if its got one) around the heater motor and it controls blower speeds, might be worth checking out.

Heater blowing cold air.

Check the water contol valve operation ( under hood connected to heater hoses), do you have a full load of coolant?, also air mix door under dash, is the temp of the coolant hot?.Check them all out, you'll find it
