Check both O2 sensor(s) and catalytic coverter.. P0420 means catalyst below threshold. Also check the sensor at the transmission and solenoid.

SOURCE: mitsibishi colt 97 stuck in 1st gear

Your link broke off. What might have happened is the car got stuck in 1st, and when you shifted to second, the link broke. Not too clued up on your car, but you probably need to drop the gearbox. On some cars you can take out the shifter without having to drop the box and still see if the link is broken. Good luck

Probably due for a trans service--which is flushing the trans and replacing the trans fluid and filter.

I need to fill up transmission oil on my Audi A4 automatic 2006 model

pfauto212 is correct on the suggested answer

some models have the fill plug on the side of the pan, while others have the fill plug on the bottom & you need a special L-shaped adaptor to fill the fluid into the pan

Audi ATF Audi Transmission Fluid

use the specified synthetic fluid made for german vw cars only!

you can skip the part where they are changing the filter and see how they add fluid from the fill plug area

one of two things...cheapest is to change your transmission fluid and filter first. or your pick up modulator is going bad.

audi claims that it is lifetime ATF so it does not need changing however there is thousands of moving parts inside the transmission and particles build up in the filter which could cause problems i would recommend changing it every 30K to 60k miles along with a new filter.

SOUND LIKE TRANSMISSION SLIPPING. CHECK TRANSMISSION FLUID LEVEL.IF FLUID LEVEL OKAY BUT FLUID LOOKS DARK SMELL BURNT.CHANGE TRANSMISSION FLUID AND FILTER ADD SOME VALVE BODY TREATMENT TO LOOSEN STICKEN SHIFT VALVES.ADD TO TRANSMISSION FLUID DONT OVER FILL TRANSMISSION WILL CAUSE OVERHEAT. IF TRANSMISSION FLUID GOOD FILTER ALREADY BEEN CHANGED.IF ALL GOOD ENGINE BEEN TUNED UP OTHER POSSIBLE CAUSES FOR TRANSMISSION SLIPPING NOT GOING TO OVER DRIVE COULD BE THROTTLE SHIFT CABLE OUT ADJUSTMENT OR STRETCHED. TORQUE CONVERTER FAULTY OR SHIFT VALVES TO TORQUE CONVERTER OR OVER DRIVE STUCK IN VALVE BODY. VALVE BODY FAULTY. AND HAVE VECHICLE SCANNED FOR FAULTY VECHICLE SPEED SENSOR OR FAULTY THROTTLE CONTROL MODULE OR FAULTY THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR. THEY WILL EFFECT TRANSMISSION SHIFT TO OVER DRIVE IF FAULTY.

What kind of Trani fluid we need to use for 2004 Audi A8L??? And if this fluid is expensive, can we replace it with something cheaper? Do we need to change the filter inside as well???

Use the factory fluid, and yes there is a filter. Is being cheap worth a transmission? Expensive fluid is going to look cheap when you have a $4000 transmission bill, because you wanted to save a few bucks. You have a european car, its now time to pay big bucks for repairs.

I have a 99 Audi A6 Quattro and recently got the radiator, transmission hoses, filters, gaskets and transmission fluid changed. Now, the car doesn't even move, even when a gear has been selected. What...

It is most likely that it is the transmission, it sounds like you didn't put fluid enough. or something is restriction the fluid flow to the torque converter which is located between the engine and the transmission, it replaces the clutch in a manual transmission. The wiring harness to the transmission may have been unplugged when you did this. make sure it is plugged to the transmission, and the transmission is full of fluid.

AUDI A4 1900TDI AUTOMATIC

Yes it is relatively easy to do but can be very messy if you dont have the right drip tray.Basicly you have to remove the pan at the bottom of the trans which is full of oil so care while removing will save you from getting covered in trans fluid, the filter is visible and removable as soon as you remove pan.
When you remove filter you also have to expect more fluid to come out.Put back together the way it was removed.

A4 Transmission shifting

Fist thing to do is change the transmission fluid and filter. Audi says the transmissions have lifetime fluid, but that's bull - change it first and see if that helps. If not, have the car scanned by a shop and have the chassis codes looked into. If there's a true electrical control problem, there should be at least one code stored (which may not trip the check-engine light).
