The fuse box is located under the dash on the driver's side of the vehicle, just to the left of the steering column. You can see the fuse numbers on the fuse cover. Dome light fuse is #F9.

I suggest check the description and right location abour each fuse and fuse panel box location in your owners manual or ask and try to download from Ford Owners Manual ...

Accordting with the 2001 Ford Ranger Owners Manual, you have several fuse locations...

Passenger compartment fuse panel: The fuse panel is located on the left hand side of the instrument panel facing the drivers side door.




Power distribution box: the power distribution box is located in the engine compartment. The power distribution box contains high current fuses that protect your vehicles main electrical systems from overloads.

fuse number 46 in the passenger compartment fuse panel is the cigarette lighter fuse.

chances are that it is just a blown fuse, which is very common, it is fuse #46 and is a 15amp fuse, location of fuse panel is under drivers side, most garages will do for no charge, but if you would like to try yourself, ownersmanual will show you fuse layout and look for #46, pull and see if it is blown
