Go to Autozone, they will do it for free at most stores.

Otherwise, the method is pretty straight foreward. You will have to remove a small plastic access pannel over the headlight.
Under there, in a space designed for a small child's hand, you will see a black collar at the base of the wires running into the headlight. You need to rotate that counter clockwise about a third of a turn, and slide it back along the wires. Pull gently on the connector those wires go to, and do not pull it by the wires themselves. there is an O-ring holding the bulb in the housing. Once you have it out of the housing, there is a small catch that is pretty obvious. You will need to pry that catch up slightly to get the bulb out of the socket on the end of the wires. Reverse the steps to reinstall the bulb. Never touch the glass part of the bulb. The oil from your fingers will create a hot spot on the bulb when it is on, and cause it to crack in a matter of days.

The headlight on the pass. side works right. the drivers side when in low beem, the light is in high beem. when the light is on high beem the light is on low beem. this is a 2000 mercury sable

someone has switched the wiring harness sockets to the wrong bulbs or installed the bulbs in reverse. get in behind the headlight assembly on the driver side and reverse the wires, if that does not work then pull the bulbs and swap them inside to outside and vice versa.

1998 Camry Low beams work fine but when i switch to high beam i loose all lights

the relay for your highbeem lights is bad, replace it and you should be good, or you could just switch the high beem relay, with the low beem relay, they are the same, and if the high beems work like that you know its full proof, if not... well you know, we will hafta move to something else.. hope you find this helpful

I have a 1997 F-350 with a 7.3 and lately while I am driving my headlights only turn off and some times I can push the switch in one click and then pull it back out and the lights come back on, other times...

Sounds like the contacts in your switch are going bad. The switch in your high-low beam lever is extremely hard to get to as the steering column will need to come out, if it's the style I recall on a 97. The switch you may be able to find on the web somewhere because if you get it from ford it may be pricey. You will probably need to take it to your local service center to be replaced.

Both Head light are out but high beems work and fogs work fine

The fuse for high beams is No.35 (20amp) in the interior fuse panel. There is also a relay R03 also located in the interior fuse panel.

Go to this website and pick owner guides on left task bar, input vehicle info then pick get owner guides, then pick owner guide 5th printing. Your fuse panel info begins on page 251 for the interior fuse panel.

Head Lights

check the continuity of the headlights to make sure there switching from the DTR Lights to the highbeams. If you are not getting the proper continuity check the ground wire for the low beams to ensure its properly grounded and has proper continuity throughout the wire. If not replace the wire or tighten as required and that should fix your problem.

lemme know if you require further assistance,
