My car is a manual 2006 Scion Tc, and when I was driving on the freeway one day, the engine stalled and I wasn't getting any response when I stepped on the gas. I stopped, waited for a few minutes, started the car fine and was able to drive back home. I thought the loss of power was just a hickup but the problem persisted the next morning; the car would start, idle, but wouldn't rev up when I step on the gas. At few times, the car would start and run fine but would have the same problem after about a few minutes of driving. I was wondering what's the likely cause of this. I have checked the fuel filter, which wasn't much fun because it was inside the fuel tank, and cleaned the MAF sensor and throttle body a bit by spraying respective cleaners.

Does it start if you give it gas when turning the key? I had a grand prix that would not want to start unless I gave it gas. It was an easy fix. I changed the air filter, used MAF cleaner to clean the MAF and I also took the throttle body apart and cleaned that. The throttle body had a black build up in it that I cleaned up with throttle body cleaner.

yes its the same plugs but you wont have the steering weal control
