License Plate Lights

I figured my license plate lights were burned out, so I replaced them today, They still don't work. I checked all the fuses...the cig lighter fuse was burned out...replaced it, still no plate lights. Did I miss a fuse?

thanx

It is mixed with another item.
The fuse is located under dash, drivers side.
It will be on the fuse that does your rear marker lights

Probably not... For some reason license plate light wiring and sockets are VERY prone to corrosion. Make sure to check the light sockets and try to get to the wiring close to them, your problem is more than likely very close to the lights.

2013 Chevy taho both license plate lights are out and the bulbs are good. Been searching for the fuse for a very long time today and I still haven't gotten the answer please help

According to a post on Traverse Forum, the issue might not be with the bulbs themselves, but rather with the connectors that slide onto the bulb. These connectors may be corroded, which could prevent the bulbs from working . Another possibility is that the lens the bulb attaches to may be full of dirt, especially if you live in a dusty area .

If neither of these solutions work, it's possible that there is a problem with the fuse for the license plate lights. The license plate lamps are powered by the 10 amp left parking light circuit fuse located in the under hood fuse panel. If any of your parking lamps on the left side are out, this could be the problem. If those lights are working, then the fuse should be good. The fuse is easy to get to, so it's worth pulling it out and reseating it or replacing it .

License plate light

The licence plate doesn't have a fuse, it comes on when you put your lights on, if you have your park lights on and the plate light isn't working then generally it's just a bulb, see what you can find, cheers good luck

My license plate lights dont work help?

the bulb is most likely burned out. there are a few types of license plate lights out there. some where you have to replace the whoel unit and some that have replaceable bulbs. both you can find at your local parts store.

License plate lights do not work.

Sounds like you may have a wiring issue. I would cut the wires at the tag lamps, leaving enough to splice in new ones. Then pull one of your tail light assemblies out and, using a test light which is available from most parts stores for $5-10, figure out which wire is hot with the parking lights on. Splice a wire from there to your tag lamp socket. Then splice the other wire to the ground circuit at the tail lamp or find a good ground to wrap it around somewhere else (usually just about anything metal). Just find a bolt somewhere, back it out a bit and stick some of the stripped wire behind it at tighten it back up.
