Either your fuel cut-off switch has been activated (low speed impact on bumpers or severe angle (roll-over or towed), or, you need a new fuel pump.
There are difficult and easy ways to replace the fuel pump. Here is an easier method.
if the fuel cut-off tripped, then look for the reset button (inside - usually 3 to 12 inches forward of the fuel cap on the rear fender. Look for an access panel). Hold for 5 to 10 seconds. You may need to turn the key before trying to press the button.
The inertia fuel shutoff switch is located in the front right-hand (Passenger side) foot well
behind the cowl side trim panel see diagram below. it is black box with a red button, this is a manufacture lay out of you vehicle fuel system the box marked number 3 is your switch

ive had the same problem with my ford focus 1.8 tdci wont start at all towed it to fords who says its the fuel pump and its ganna cost 600- 1,000 pounds hope this helps.
