If you are losing coolant and and producing white smoke from the tailpipe you have the classic sign of a bown head gasket. usually this smoke is accompanied by a bitter sweet odor. most common causes are severe engine overheating or severe misfire(flashing check engine light). take the car in for a diagnosis.

Del sol looses water wants to run hot cant see water leak

Look for unusual white smoke from the exhaust or signs of oil nixed in with the coolant. This can be caused by a failed head gasket allowing coolant to leak into the combustion chambers and/or oil galleys.

1999 gmc youkon missing real bad lots of white smoke smells like straight gas done complete tune up nothing changes help

White smoke would indicate you're burning engine coolant. Black smoke is usually raw unburned fuel, and bluish smoke is oil. Has the engine overheated recently? Is it losing coolant without any external signs of a coolant leak? You may want to do a block check to see if you have a blown head gasket....

Smoking white smoke at idal and lots of black at 1500 and above . a little miss at 1500rpms no power lose

Black smoke is a sign of an overly rich fuel/air mixture. White smoke is a sign of coolant entering the combustion chamber. Most likely you have a blown head gasket. Other symptoms are loss of coolant with no apparent leak, loss of power, miss, oil level overfull, a white foamy substance on the underside of the oil fill cap. Stop driving this truck until you find the problem. Driving it with a blown head gasket will destroy the engine. A compression test will verify this.

Suddenly started smoking white smoke and seems to be losing power

White smoke is coolant being burnt. That with your lose of power would suggest a bad head gasket. A compression test could confirm it. Hope this helps.

White cloud of smoke through tailpipe

well I'd say that coolant is definitely leaking into the combustion chamber, albeit at a slow rate (for now). It could be anything from a blown head gasket to a cracked block or head. I'd get it to a shop as soon as possible and not drive it any more than need be until that point.

White smoke cuming out tailpipe 3400 v6

I would almost bet you have a blown head gasket or a cracked head. White smoke at the exhaust, loosing coolant, moisture on the underside of the oil fill cap, and on the dip stick are all signs of a blown gasket. The fact that there is no coolant in the oil does not mean it does not have a blown gasket. To find out for sure remove all spark plugs, disconnect the coil wire, and then run a compression test on all cylinders. If you find one or more with low compression you have a blown gasket. Do not drive this car any longer until you get this repaired. Serious engine damage will occur if you continue to drive it.
