Well you might want to replace the crank sensor on the car. those engines are known for bad crank sensors.

Nissan Sylphy won't start and coil not firing.

NO YEAR told for a CHALLENGE? year 2000 to 2022,wow !
NO COUNTRY TOLD.
check the FUSES FIRST !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
with 9 engines used, gas (petrol) , sure not diesel.
all are 4 cylinders and diff. sizes sure.
so he does not know his job , that it?
find one that does.? for sure.
we have no such car here in USA;
for a fact 22 years made the spark systems are NO THE SAME
not old how may coil (HV) packs there are
1 pack (distributor ) year 2000?
2 packs, called wasted spark and 2 or 4 HV spark wires
4in1 pack bricks. one giant pack with 2 coils inside wasted spark.
4 packs called COPS, coil over plugs (sparks)
there you go 22 years of evolution of spark (and more powerful)_
my guess it is 2pack car, (or 4 pack brick)
in both cases, 2 /4 , the young kids working or boomers will not know what wasted spark does. and wired it all up backward
1>4 3>2 (ecu firing order is 1,3,4,2 for ever fixed)
Wasted spark fires. TDC
example 1 fires real ,and 4 fires wasted. wasted means wasted fining on the exhaust stroke. ( and saves owning 2 extra coils)
the magic of just 2 coils wired in series.
but if 1 HV wire is open 2 sparks die, OOPS?

my 1975 honda CB750 had it so is not new ever, this tech
what matters most of all is moving the HV spark wires 1 by 1
never just throwing the wires there. guessing.
HV means the 20,000 volt high voltage wire set.
and last ( causes)_
Some are , even year 2000, had s fire wall igniter block that drives all coil packs and sure that can fail too.
later years the ignitor was moved to the COIL packs.(cops)
and last last, ECU bad to spark coil inputs.
new year told
no engine told
no country told
a hard row to hoe, or a tough nut to crack.

good luck finding real tech. how knows his craft and the evolution of it.(complex)

05 Ford Escape, coils #3 & #4 not firing. We've replaced the battery, spark plugs, alternator, coil packs, & pcm. Had pcm reflashed. Garage said it had to be coil packs, but just replaced coil packs 3

Check engine light on ? Code's ? What engine ? 2.3 l 4cylinder or 3.ol v-6 This vehicle has coil on plug ignition system , not coil packs ! a coil per cylinder . If new coils an still has no spark , has no B+ voltage to the coil or the PCM isn't controlling them . Without testing i'd only be guessing as to the problem .If the repair shop you had it to can only say it had to be the coils , I'd find another shop to take it to !

I have a 91 Chevy Lumina, just replaced the injectors and all the coils on saturday and ran fine but when driving it would have trouble it seemed shifting, starting today when you hit the gas the car dies...

Your ignition spark control module is going bad, your coils pack are located right underneth them. this is what tells your coils packs to produce spark to your spark plugs. they are easy to replace just make sure you mark you coil pack with some tape and make sure you put them back in the same order as they came off the spark control module. Easy to replace, just make sure you use the proper size torx or socket size on the screw heads...

Hello. I have a '97 Chevy Lumina that a year ago began to immediately turn off after starting engine only when engine already warmed or previously driven that day. The car would drive well before and after...

that code p0300 means your haveing a random muticyclinder misfire when your car stumbled and died it may have threw that code but it may be something else as the problem cars not smart enough to relize this it can be a faulty injector or one bad coil pack could be a cracked spark plug things have to be tested to determine the exact cause i had this same problem i i have a 2002 dodge intrepid it did the same thing as your car did

When i step on the gas my car dies out, and then after starting it 3 or 4 times it wont start.

I also have a 91 chevy lumina with the same problem, have replaced the coil packs, throttle sensor, crank sensor and new spark-plugs and still the same problem. Also how many wires connect the the crank sensor as I have two wires that are discconected. Any help will be will better than replacing parts that I don't need to. Engine misses, then shut off, won't start again

not sure about the 2008 model, but the earlier ones had coil pack problems. it looks like part of the rocker cover with around four torque screws holding it down and one multi plug at the end on the n/s of the engine. oh they used to blow the fuse at the same time for the engine management. 30amp dooor pillar/"A"post area. test by removing the coil pack, fitting the spark plugs into the plug outlets. earth the body of each plug and crank the engine, you shoukld see a spark, if not then there are other tests before confirming the coil pack. let me know how you get on.
