With a/c you usually have to replace the part that is leaking.hose,condensor,evaporator.or if its a seal, seal replacement, schrader valve etc.this needs to be done at a shop that does a/c work as the system will need to be evacuated, repaired, vacumed, recharged, proper oil installed and rechecked for leaks, and checked for proper operation.
Thanks for choosing FixYa and welcome. It all depends where it is leaking. You can go to Autozone or Advanced and by the seal freon for leaks. There is also a can that shows where the leak is at. You could have an issue with the A/C compressor. I would try adding the freon first. The vehicle is eight years old. If it has been run a lot, it could be low. If not, just go ahead and buy the freon that stops leaks as well.
