Ok theres so many oranges im getting very confused on what one goes where SOS =)
Okay, now i realize that there two oranges on the list. Look and see how many are in the car. Hopefully two! :D If you have an Ohmmeter (continuity tester), or can borrow one, put one lead of the tester on the blue wire ant tap out the oranges one at a time to find a pair. When the tester beeps or lights up, depending on the type of tester, you have found a pair. By process of elimination, the other orange, goes with the green wire to your right front speaker. If you can't get an ohmmeter, try hooking up everything else, so that you get power to the radio, saving the orange wires for last. Go ahead and hook up your blue and green also. Then take one of the orange wires from the radio and tap it to the the two oranges in the car, until you get sound out of the correct speaker. By the way just in case you have never used and ohmmeter before, the continuity setting is often shown as the Greek "Omega" symbol.
Ok new problem I have no dash lights and there is now a clicking when I turn my lights on is there anything I can do?
Check to make sure you didn't connect a power wire to the radio illumination wire. Also check the fuse for your dash lights. The radio illumination runs off the same circuit, and it's possible to arc those wires when installing the radio. Where is the clicking sound coming from? Is it an electrical clicking, like sparking or a mechanical clicking like a switch or relay? By the way, how did the orange speaker wires turn out?
At the moment I'm afraid to try the radio again and the its just like a click no sparks its coming from where the fuse box is somewhere =(
did the wires on the radio precisely match the wires in your car? I know you mentioned the radio you have came out of an accent. Does the clicking happen when you turn on your headlights or just your dash and running lights? A click when you turn on your headlights is normal. It's a relay in your fuse-box closing, unless the click is new or is louder than normal. Just check your dash light fuse and tryout your lights with the radio off. In fact, pull out the radio fuse to take it out of the equation. If you get your dash lights back, pop the radio fuse back in and turn it on. Hopefully everything will be okay, but if not, we know there's definitely a pproblem with the radio.
so a bright side of everything I now have dash lights =) I went in and replaced all the fuses again (my husband try'd to fix it yesterday) I'm going to try the radio again I think I had the wires right but the fuse wasn't working...
Like I said, it's very easy to arc those wires to ground and fry the fuse. Heck, I do it all the time! =D If I helped you in any way, please feel free to hit the thumbs-up button. I won't hold it against you. =) If you need any mor help, I will be glad to assist you.
