I just got a 1997 buick riviera s/c two door coupe and it has some issues with it and i wanted to try to do it on my own, but the problem is i cant find a repair manual for it cany anyone tell me where i can get a repair manual for a 1997 S/C buick riviera

On a 1997 Buick riviera the light bulbs simply plug in from the back side of the lens. You will have to twist the bulb pod from the socket. Change the bulb,wipe it with a clean cloth and twist it back in.

Disconnect your battery (make sure you know radio security code if you have one) Unbolt starter, lower it and remove wires. Some twisting and turning may be required to get it out. Reverse process to install.

The base convertible had a 4.1L V-6
The base coupe had a 3.8L V-6
The S coupe had a 5.7L V-8
The T type coupe Had a 3.8L V-6

These engines were listed to have between 110hp and 250hp depending on the Vin code and model.
the 3.8L non-turbo V-6 was listed at 125hp in the Base coupe and 140hp in the T coupe.While the turbo charged was stated at 225hp.

So if you can get more details and post back,I can provide better info for you.

You'll need to open the transmitter in the car and match the frequency to the garage door reciever, assuming you have the fob for the garage door, opening this will reveal a set of tiny switches. This combination is the frequency you need. Open the transmitter in the car, and place all of it's switches in the same position as in the fob. If this doesnt work, then the governing frequency isn't the same and there's not much you can do. Hope this helps!

did you check the wiring in the column it self some times you can miss simple things in haste recheck it.
