When start vehicle driver side mirror has constant ticking sound. stops when fold in mirrors but not really solution as need mirrors for driving? any suggestions?

so did not scan the PCM to learn why it fails?
we never ever skip scans today modern cars MUST be scanned first
after fuses all good (endless posted here same words )

outside mirror electrics seen in the service manual
I am reading it now
left side front fails
the mirror runs off the DDS, model, driver door switch controls
so mirror left//right up down work but the fold motor is dead

well the DDS is bad or the wires to it are bad
or comms fail. not scanning the PCm/BCM means not seeing errors.
the DDS has 4 switches
2 for extend and retract
and 2 to drive the motor, so 4 wires there. can fail.

I say DDS is bad. or connectors rusty or wiring damage there.

its in warranty, why not get them to fix it.
why ask us, ask them, its fully covered..
and all that is programmable, and mostly not adustable
if the operator guide shows no settings, that means its a dealer
only change. if at all.
The factory tool is like $10,000 so no body here has one..

parts are replaceable, and to what LEVEL
FYI< some bodies of jeeps have sub models and mirrors change.
you can walk in to jeep and look at their screen or
do so online.
on some cars the inside mirror parts are replaceble
others are not.

if not the fuse.. try to disconnect the control at the mirror adjust button on the drivers side of the vehicle..there will also be a control relay somewhere too..

I have a 2006 land rover lr3 hse my driver seat and mirrors and cooler in the center stopped working all fusses look ok what could be the problem please help thank you

It is the switch in the mirror motor and it seems to be happening to everyone who owns a Sequoia. The fix is expensive so I figured out if I physically hold both mirrors in place while hitting the console switch to fold the mirrors inward that the mirrors would stay in place and the running motor would shut off.

try removing the black cover that wraps out from the door to the mirror just be carefull.....plastic ****.

It is a stuck motor. Water gives rust inside housing. Remove mirror and clean motor and components. This is a well known error for H2 mirrors.

had to install a driver side non folding mirror, fairly simply to say the least. There's a cover on the interior of the door, near the window, remove the cover, remove the 3 screws, need i believe a 10mm socket. If a power window, unhook the circuit. Replace new mirror.
