After driving the vehicle for approx. 15 mins the truck will start acting like the transmission is slipping (giving it gas and it wont move). most of the time you can turn the truck off and it will fix the problem for about 10 mins, then it starts acting the same.

Why does my 1995 Volvo transmission stop going into gear after it's hot?

1) How's your fluid level?

2) When did you last replace your filter?

3) When it shifted, did it go trough all the gears as you accelerate or did it just stay on one gear and never shifted?

4) How's reverse, does it slip out too after 2 - 3 min?

5) As you first able to shift into gear, you can drive it for 2 to 3 mintues and it just suddenly slip out of gear?

.... could be a number of different things. Maybe even burnt out clutche(s) inside your transmission

What would cause my 1999 town & country not to move in any gear

Make sure that your axles aren't broken. If you have a broken axle the power would transfer to the wheel with the least amount of resistance (to the broken axle) therefore not propelling the vehicle. Also look at your fluid level and condition. It is possible that the transmission is slipping in which case you'd need a transmission/rebuild.

Will a transmission slip sometimes or all the time if it is going out?

Have you checked the transmission fluid level and color? How many miles on the truck?

Transmission problems

It could be a sign of bad transmission solenoid. If so, your vehicle has trouble shifting into drive or reverse. Normally, when you start your car, you're able to shift into drive or reverse right away. With a bad transmission solenoid, the vehicle could have a delay of a few seconds, or even take several minutes to warm up and operate properly. During this delay, the vehicle will act similar to how it behaves in neutral. It won't stay in park, and when you press the gas pedal, the vehicle will make an engine revving noise but not move.

Transmission not working right

I believe you have a slipping gears and looks like the gear box need overhauling. Take it to an Automatic Transmission Specialist to Diagnose.Do not leave it and use it any further, surely you will cause serious damage and cost.

Coming to stop sign by putting break gear slips then return to park move to drive runs. second as i drive in curves slips but as give gas enough continues running.

Just to make sure I got this right. If you come to a stop, the car won't pull again unless you put it in park? Then, if you start into a curve, the transmission starts to slip unless you give it more gas? This could be signs of a bad torque converter, failing fluid pump (not as likely), or burnt/low transmission fluid level. Check the transmission fluid after the vehicle has been driven (warm engine), leave it running, and on a level surface. Check the level twice and take the lowest reading.

Hesitating to go in drive. it goes, but slow. It is acting as it is not getting gas when I am giving it gas

If the engine just revs up and vehicle does not move much check transmission fluid. If low add some asap. If it is full and dark in color the transmission is or has failed.
