Year/make/model didn't post. The high mount brake light is not fused seperately. It should be on the same fuse as the brake lights. If it is not working check for a bad bulb. If the assembly is LED, check for power and ground at connector to light. If power and ground ok, suspect defective LED assembly
There's two fuse box locations..in the engine compartment and inside along the bottom or side of the dashboard..but I'm willing to bet it's your brake light switch..which is located behind your brake pedal..if the fuse isn't blown it's the brake switch..also referred as the neutral safety switch..
Does the 3rd brake light turn off & on with the stomp of the brake pedal?Do the normal running light work?Their is more then one location for fuses for this vehicle.. did you check them all?One is located in the engine compartment far as I know it does not have a separate fuse for rear brake lights.The second one is of course under the dash.The thrid is a rear power distribution box located near the spare tire... btw other fuses could cause this issue like towing light fuse possibly.. so make sure you check them all. Of course start with brake lights first.
the brake light fuse should be in the fuse box under the hood,but you might find a small fuse box under the dash as well.....hope this helps.....cheers
Bulbs are just like a fuse to for they blow out like a fuse. You have a brake light switch mounted near the brake pedal. Check that switch out with a OHM meter. Just unplug the switch and feed the Ohm meters contacts into the switch. Then push the brake pedal down to see if it completes the circuit. If a OL reading is showing at all times the switch is bad and needs to be replaced
