Right! Just remove the grill covering the windshield wiper motor. Then remove the windshield wiper. There may be a small brace covering the #1 cylinder but it can be easily removed. Most of the bolts are all 10mm. and the rear coils are easily removed.

Where is the ignition module in a 99 voyager

Hi Eric:
Also called Ignition Coil, is located at the back of the intake manifold...

2_11_2012_12_07_40_pm.jpg

Fig.: remove the 2 lower ignition coil mounting bracket bolts...

2_11_2012_12_08_55_pm.jpg

Fig.: then remove the ignition coil and mounting bracket together from the engine.

Disengage the wiring harness connector from the ignition coil.
Disconnect the ignition wire from the coil.
Remove the coil mounting bracket bolts, then remove the coil and mounting bracket assembly from the vehicle.
The ignition coil can be separated from the mounting bracket.

To install:

If separated, loosely mount the ignition coil to the mounting bracket.
Loosely install the coil and mounting bracket assembly to the intake manifold. Tighten the coil mounting bracket-to-intake manifold bolts to 115 inch lbs. (13 Nm) and the ignition coil-to-mounting bracket fasteners to 96 inch lbs. (10 Nm).
Connect the ignition wire to the coil.
Engage the wiring harness connector to the ignition coil.
If removed, install the windshield wiper/motor module assembly.
Connect the negative battery cable.

Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I`ll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.

Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PVC) Valve Removal & Installation 5.7L Engine To Remove:
1.The PCV valve is mounted into the top/right side of the intake manifold.

2.The PCV valve is sealed to the intake manifold with two O-rings.

3.Free the PCV valve by rotating counter-clockwise 90 degrees until the locating tabs align with the openings on the manifold.

4.Remove the PCV valve by pulling straight up from intake manifold and clearing the tabs.

5.Check the condition of two valve O-rings.
To Install:
  1. Clean the PCV valve opening on the intake manifold.

How do you change the spark plugs for a 1999 toyota avalon

This isnt a simple job, its best that a experienced mechanic works on this. You will need special tools for access to the rear head. All sparkplugs in the 1MZFE motor are in the center of the cylinder heads. There are COPs (coil over plugs) atop the sparkplugs, these must be removed first.**With Engine Cold** Front head: 1.remove Coils 2.use 5/8th plug socket and extension w/ratchet turn ratchet counter clockwise till plug is loose. 3. install new plugs (make sure the plugs are properly gapped). Rear Head: Intake manifold must be removed (you need a very large allen wrench for the intake bolts removal). Once this is removed follow the same steps as the front head. Here is some illustrations on the 1MZFE engine: http://www.turboninjas.com/camry/eg2.pdf

HOPEFULLY THIS HELPS

Toyota Avalon 2000

You need to pull off the entire intake manifold/plenum assembly. The knock sensor is bolted to the inside of the cylinder block, it is in the middle of the culinder block.
