Want to change dashboard language for honda odyssey 2005

The van sold in the US can be changed from English to French or Spanish. You may need to check with the dealer on a Japanese model.
The info for US vans is on page 108 in the owners manual. With the key on you hold the "info" button for 3 seconds and go into the Customize Entry option.

How to change languages on instruments

{: ) Press the customization button (the button on the steering wheel with a bold letter i ) until LANGUAGE: ENGLISH appears in the display. To select your preference for display language, press the select button (bent arrow symbol) while LANGUAGE: ENGLISH is displayed on the DIC. Pressing the select button will scroll through the following languages: • ENGLISH (default) • FRANCAIS (French) • ESPANOL (Spanish) Choose one of the available options and press the customization button while it is displayed on the DIC to select it and move on to the next feature.
If you accidentally choose a language that you do not want or understand, press and hold the customization button and the trip information button at the same time. The DIC will begin scrolling through the languages in their particular language. English will be in English, Francais will be in French, and Espanol will be in Spanish. When you see the language that you would like, release both buttons. The DIC will then display the information in the language you chose.
You can also scroll through the different languages by pressing and holding the trip reset stem for four seconds, as long as you are in the odometer mode.

I just bought a RAV4 in France. Owners manual is

This is a manual center differential lock button for 4WD models.
When you push this button, it manually locks the front and rear axles. An amber C DIFF LOCK light should appear on the dash board when engaged.
Push it again and it will disengage. It may take a few seconds to disengage, and a beeping will be heard until the diff is unlocked.

The center differential lock is only meant to be used in emergency situations. Driving with it engaged at all times can damage your differential.
