Even though the alternator tested good it still may be your problem. Unhook the alternator power wire and let the car set for the amount of time it usually takes to run down the battery. If it starts right up, you've found your problem. If that doesn't help, sometimes a relay can stick and cause a draw on the battery. You might try the same thing with the relays, pull them out and let it set. Replace them and see if it starts.

When not running the engine for a week, the battery dies. When I jump start it, engine will start cranking very slow and pickup speed before it starts running.

it seems like the battery is going. clean battery terminals, also the grounding to the body (engine block, transmission, etc.) all should be shiny cleaned. suggest you go to autozone (or other auto parts) for a free battery & alternator tests.

I have a 97 galant that keeps blowing the 100 amp fuse? alternator tested good twice checked wiring reads good is there another fuse ?

Usually that fuse powers the alternator and the fuse box.
It would have to be a big short to ground to blow that fuse.
Its possible the main wire to the alternator is touching a metal spot, or the alternator is shorting out inside when it is running.
What is draining the battery may be something else, or the battery could be discharging after the fuse blows if the alternator is not charging it.

Was having problems and my mechanic said was transmission and fuel pump. just got car back yesterday and it drove like the transmission was still slippin and the check engine light came on. this morning i...

Sounds like battery or battery cable problems to me.
If the battery is bad, you cannot trust ANYTHING the computer is telling you. They tend to set all kinds of codes when the battery has a shorted cell. (including fuel pump circuit and transmission system codes) They get "delirious" from malnutrition. You need to have your charging/starting system thoroughly tested.

Battery draining bought a new one same thing maybe alternator not keeping battery charged

maybe. Do you have a voltmeter? Check voltage at battery with engine running. Should be at least 14 volts. no voltmeter? take alternator to parts store for testing.

If alternator is good, check for shorts. Please see my tip at http://www.fixya.com/cars/r5925550-dead_battery_troubleshooting . These are generic instructions. If you get stuck or need specific instructions for your car, please get back to me with model, year and engine info.

I have a 2001 2.8 v6 galaxy that will drian the battery flat in a couple of days, any help on this would be helpfull.

lets say you have had the battery tested and it's ok?
(as bad batteries do hold charge but only for a short time)

the fluid inside the battery is at the correct level?

when u start the car you should be able to disconnect a battery lead and the car should keep running, (alternator test)

if everything checks out so far?... use an amp meter across the fuse terminals to see what is drawing excessive power.

Its a process of elimination. always start at the simplest part and work through.
