You've got trouble codes stored by they're most likely enhanced codes that your code reader can't read. Inexpensive code readers and only read generic trouble codes. Codes above P0800 are "enhanced" code that require a more professional scan tool to access.

SOURCE: how to change spark plugs on 2005 acura tl

Hi,

you need a 6 inch extension, short 3/8 ratchet, 5/8 plug socket, 3/8 swivel "u" joint, (sold at sears) 8mm 1/4 drive socket deep well and 1/4 inch ratchet.

find the coil packs (6 total, three in each head.)
remove the two retaining nuts holding each coil pack using 1/4 8mm socket and ratchet.
twist the pack to break the sticking boot below.
pull up (be careful to not rip the boots however it may still happen but rare.)
remove coil packs, the rear is a little more difficult with the intake.
use 6" extension and u joint and ratchet to remove plugs and replace.
reverse order to assemble. Good luck, and hoped this helped.

SOURCE: 99 Acura TL dies when I try to start

I have helped many Honda/Acura owners on this issue. Many mechanics will replace many parts prior to solving this problem, which then creates unnecessary repairs and spending. So here is my diagnosis: Notice if your speedometer drops to zero when your engine dies while driving. If this happens its your ignition switch failing. Ignition switches in Honda/Acura vehicles years 97-02 encounter faulty or shorted internal contacts. This causes premateur electrical failure to vital engine electrical parts, causing vehicle to stall intermittedly. A recall has been in place since 2002, approximately 1.3mil vehicles are affected, call your local honda/acura dealer for info and possible free repair or replace the ignition switch yourself. Hopefully my info helps you!!

I doubt they did anymore damage but i`ll bet that the engine was damaged from the training going out such as valve guides and seals and carbon build up on plugs ETC.

What parts do I change to tune up my 2008 dodge caliber

For a standard tune-up, the parts needed include an air filter, oil filter, fuel filter, spark plugs, and spark plug wires. You should also have oil, transmission fluid, coolant, windshield washer fluid, and brake fluid available. A tune-up consists of topping off or replacing fluids, changing spark plugs and spark plug wires, changing the fuel, oil, and air filters, and checking the pressures of the tires. More detailed tune-ups run a diagnostic test on the vehicle to check for any codes that indicate additional issues.

What tuneup services should I be getting done on my 1999 Acura TL 3.2? It has 138K miles on it and has not had a tuneup since 75K 4 years ago...

Geez! Honda kept all the mechanics out of work! Well, a MAJOR TUNE UP must be done in ur FiNE & TiME TESTED car! Replacing the BELTS including timing belt/tensioner should be done. Checking brakes and FLUSHiNG brake fluids. Checking the underchasis, bushings, wheel bearing, wheel alignment, tires and shock absorbers. Checking clutch master/slave and toping hydraulics and gear oil in the transmission for manual. Checking electrical and ECU! Change oil, spark plugs, hi-tension wire, fuel filter, and air filter! Check and top up/flush steering pump. Check and flush cooling system! Thats all! hope your car will last another 10 more years! Taah!

I want to service my vehicle

If you want to do a full service:
Change oil and filter
Change fuel filter
New spark plugs
Check all fluids:
Transmission fluid
Brake fluid
Power steering fluid
Coolant (anti-freeze)
Rotate tires, and do a grease job, you will need a grease gun for that.
If you want just the minor
Change oil and filter
fuel filter, and spark plugs.

When idling my 2003 Acura TL the engine seems to want to almost die, also when i got on the freeway it seem to pull hard and **** like it was having trouble shifting into 5th gear. It also seems to run...

You may need to change the coil pack(s) or modular. The modular is what the coil pack(s) mount to. I'm not familiar with that engine so you may have a 3 piece coil pack, or a 1 piece. (If it doesn't have a distributor). You may first try replacing the coil wire. There is a good chance that is loose, or bad. It could also be the coil itself. Try the coil wire and if it still acts up, then try the others. Also, when you changed the plugs, did you put new plug wires? When I do a tune up on my vehicles, I change the plugs, wires, distributor cap and rotor, (coil pack, modular), whichever is equipped, oil, oil filter, tranny fluid and filter with gasket, valve cover gaskets, oil pan gasket oil filter, and fuel filter. Try changing the fuel filter as well, as plugged or dirty fuel filters can cause stall outs. I hope this information helps. Thank you for choosing fixya.com for answers.
