How do you install a cold return grill

Hi Sheila:
If the new grille is bigger you can either enlarge the hole, or just trim arount the hole at the size thet the grille will fit.
If the new grille is smaller than the hole, the easy install is to trim around the hole so that the opening is covered. The more detailed approach would be to change the opening to the correct size , finish, and paint.

Can you help with instructions on how to install a mesh grill and spoiler on a 2003 X Type Jaguar..... Thank You

i have fitted an "admesh" brand mesh grille and spoiler on my fathers 2004 X type.

the mesh in the spoiler would have just fitted over the existing plastic grille using the supplied clips, if the original grille had not been damaged. i just removed unscrewed the original grille and fitted the mesh one using the same fittings.

for the main grille, i removed the grill from the car (4 screws) and cut out the centre plastic vanes before fitting the new mesh one to it using the supplied clips. i then screwed the whole unit back in place. it took about 1 1/2 hours from start to finish for both mesh grills.
the instructions were quite clear and most helpful.

i do not know which kit you have so do not know specific fitting instructions, but as far as i am aware, most kits would fit in a simillar way and should not be to difficult to fit with a little care.

How to remove the headlight

How to Replace a Headlight
Parts:
1. Headlight

Tools:
1. Flashlight
2. Screwdriver Set
3. 1/4 in. Drive Ratchet
4. Socket Set

Steps:
Step 1 * Open the hood and locate the headlight.
o Tip: Safety Tip:Always wear safety glasses when working on your vehicle. Wear other personal protective equipment (PPE) when necessary, for example latex gloves or safety shoes.
o Tip: Always make sure the struts on the hood can fully support the weight of the hood so that it does not close on you while working. The use of a hood prop can securely hold it in place.

Step 2 * Disconnect the electrical connector from the back of the headlight or remove the headlight bulb.

Step 3 * Remove the headlight from the headlight housing by removing the headlight mounting screws or retainers.
o Tip: Depending on your vehicle, it may be necessary to remove the grille and trim to gain access to the headlight mounting screws.

Step 4 * Compare the new headlight to ensure it will be the correct fit.

Step 5 * Install the new headlight.

Step 6 * Tighten the mounting screws or install the retainers.

Step 7 * If necessary, install the grille or trim that was removed to access the mounting screws.

Step 8 * Install the headlight bulb or connect the wiring harness to the headlight.

Step 9 * Check headlight operation and adjustment. If necessary, adjust the headlight.

Hope helped with this (remember rated this post).

I would like to know if I can wire my autometer guages (electrical) into my instrument cluster with out causing damage. I own a 81 GMC C2500 pickup. Thanks steve [email protected]

Hello,
If you are looking to install these gauges into your factory cluster it is possible as it is not a computer cluster. I would look into buying a professional cluster made for hotrods that is already done as there is alot of work to do to make the Autometer gauges fit nice and clean. There is a plastic cover over your factory gauge set and it will be dificult to get it cut out and set rite for the new gauge set. maybe if you built your own cluster unit you could use one of these Billet pieces as a template. Thats just a thought I have done this and It looks nice with a rose wood underlayment routered out to fit the gauges.
