Hello sally tyler9: I checked in my All Data manual. The only motor that was offerd in the swift from 1989 up through atleast 2000 model year has been a 1.3 engine. There was not a 1.0 size engine according to All Data. I also checked with Mitchell on Demand and all they show is a 1.3 engine. The way to know for sure is to look at the VIN number on the left corner of the dash. If the sixth digit is a 2? Than you have a 1.3cid. motor in your swift. Should you need further help please just ask. Thank You for using Fix Ya. Roger

How to get the rear brake drum off a suzuki swift 2002

Make sure emergency brake is release.
If it still. There should be two hole about 3/16" to 1/4" diameter
on the drom surface. Use two 3" long bolt make sure it fit the hole's tread then screw in both hole enenly. It'll bring the drum out.
Or there is not hole. Then use rubber mullet (Rubber hammer) hit from the inside edge evenly (Or top/bottom). It should be able to come out.

Cant find where to add gear oil in my 95 swift. found what i think is the plug, but unable to get oil in...just comes back out.

The fill plug is on the LHS of the diff casing just rearwards of where the LH drive shaft exits the gearbox. The box should be filled to this level and is about 1.6 - 1.7 litres.

Suzuki swift 1.3 single OHC runs fine when cold,

Check the valve timing. You might have some problems with your timing belt or camshaft sprocket. If timing is OK, check the resistance of your TP sensor, specially on the terminals for full throttle. Resistance should be 2 to 6.5 kilo ohms. Lower than this the ECM will not give the right avance ignition timing to your engine. Repositioning the mounting angle may correct the problem.

Unexplained Beeping

Could be that you have left the key in the ignition? Sounds silly but it does beep when you have turned off the engine and left the key in the ignition. I suppose it's a way to stop you from locking keys in car?

Hey iam looking for tail lights for suzuki swift 1995 model can you help me please.

Get to know the sister cars. The Suzuki Swift is almost completely identical to the Geo Metro and the Pontiac Firefly: the only differences were that the Metro and the Firefly were available in sedan form and the Swift wasn't. Also, no changes were made to any of these cars between 1995 and 1997. If you look for parts for any of these cars they will work.

Vehicles mentioned:
1995, 1996, 1997 Suzuki Swift
1995, 1996, 1997 Geo Metro 2/3dr
1995, 1996, 1997 Pontiac Firefly 2/3dr

In addition the only things that changed after 1997 were the bumpers and front turn signals (and that the Metro became a Chevy) so taillights for later Swifts/Metros/Fireflies should work as well.
