Everything works so it's not the battery huh? You'd better have the battery over to a shop that can test it under load before spending any more time or money. A friend of mine asked me to fix his car's starting problem that sounds just like yours. Before I started troubleshooting he said, "I just replaced the battery a couple of months ago so I know it's good." Well, he buys a starter and I put it in. Same problem. I take the battery back to Checkers, they test it and it fails. They give a new battery and tadaaaa, problem fixed. Too bad they wouldn't take the starter back though. They would have had I not cranked the engine. New batteries can be defective too. Don't take shortcuts.

have a 1986 ford pickup went to put the key in lights came on but no noise like engine dead, few times it kicked over trying to start but no starting up!! that was after playing with the igition switch, truck has new starter so dont know what the problem is?????

i have an eb 92model can start at the starter but not with key checked everything tried different batteries will run for short time then cut out wont start again
my 98 windstar wont start with the key.if i jump across the starter solinoid it will start. could it be the nutral saftey switch or the ignition switch?
