Can you here the motor running? If not maybe a fuse is blown or the wiper motor is bad.
Can you move the wipers by hand? If you can then the linkage either popped off or is broken.

97 jeep cj windows and wipers stopped working fuses are ok

97 wrangler right? CJ ended in 86 (last year)
97 TJ, you mean, or was posting to Cherokee correct all along./?????
factoid:
The Chrysler Corporation bought out AMC in 1987, shortly after the Jeep CJ was replaced with the AMC-designed Jeep Wrangler or YJ.

test the fuse, looking only finds the ones blow to H3LL
they can in fact just crack a bit. and are in fact bad.
use any DMM or any ohmmeter, "resistance Rx1 or RX2 range , low range) 0 ohms good, , infinity bad.
only that works. every time.
lets read the FSM together.

wipers first. USA not export.
Front wiper not rear. ok>?
page 8w-53 wiper schematic.

fuse 2 and 3 must be good.
then fuse 14 front wiper ,fuse 12 is rear
if the fuses are good, (truely) we never ohm fuses we use VOLTS
on both sides of fuse, volts never lies.
then what is bad, easy bad wiper switch, motor or ground to motor.
the voltmeter again wins the toss and if no 12vdc to motor
then the switch or wire are bad.
if you have 12v to motor then motor is bad , if ground to motor is no cut.

now windows. what windows, are then not crank windows or zipper windows?

i think you posted wrong car,,

Is there a fuse or a wire that makes windshield wiper not work

there is a relay wiper switch. Check your owners manual for fuses and relays, it will tell you where they are located in your vehicle.

Windshield wipers stopped working on 1993 jeep cherokee

Did you plug them all back in? lol j/p

Do your blinkers and your back windshield wipers work? It's either electrical or mechanical. Turn them on and poke around to see if you hear the motor doing anything. If you hear it, it's probably a broken linkage. If not, start with the fuses and work from there.

It's possible that by unplugging the battery and then plugging it back it, the fuse for the wipers received an electrical surge, blowing it. Consult your manual to see where the fuse for your model is and check to see if it's blown.

What fuse controls the windshield washer pump? on a 2001 Jeep Che

usually it's in the washer bottle which is usually in the fender well, ahrd to get to.
The fuse that controls it should be listed in your owners manual. Usually a 10 amp fuse in the fuse panel inside the car usually on the instrument panel somewhere.
