The Volvo 240 has 2 fuel pumps one is a low pressure pick-up pump and is in the gas tank, the other is a high pressure booster pump required for fuel injection. The booster pump is under the car just beneath the left rear passenger seat.

Location of overdrive relay of my 91 240 volvo
Remove the glove box. It is to the left of the glove box cavity. If it is the original relay, on a '91 the relay should be white, I believe.

Hi, it is located with the fuel pump under the drivers side of the car. It rests on a plate that also has the fuel pump attached to it. Undo the bolts holding the plate to the bottom of the car and you will see that it is very easy to replace.

I have a 92 240 that blew fuse to fuel pump.Replaced fuse,drove 2 days and since then will not start.Fuel pump tested good,can not locate fuel relay.
new fuel filter when replaced the pump? might have a bare wire somewhere causing the fuse to blow usually the relay is under hood with main fusses and secondary being under dash or in glove box.

I have a 1988 volvo 240 gl and my main fuel isnt getting power
There is a fuse up by the Battery alone in a white receptacle with red wires. It may not be blown but is corroded. Thoroughly clean it. This feeds the Fuel pump circuit.If tat is good the white fuel pump relay under the glove box may be bad.
