My 95 maxima was just cuttn out on me and would go dead but usually move battery cables a little and it would crank, however we changed cable ends on battery, crank it and dtove doen the road, it went dead...

Battery went dead? If this is the case you probably have a dead short.Should pull starter possibly bad solinoid, My old Maxima had caused me similar issue, if you pull starter it usually can be tested at a local Auto parts store. In a vehicle that fails to start, the common problems are the starter solenoid and the starter motor. The starter assembly can be quickly pulled from a 1995 Nissan Maxima, and then can be further separated to replace one part of the starter assembly. The process does not require any special tools, and can be done by novice mechanics

Wont start at all

There are some basic diagnosis tips to determine the issue causing you car not to start.

I am willing to bet that you have a dead battery. A dead battery will dim the lights when you try to turn on the ignition and engage the starter. If this happens and the starter clicks, or does nothing at all, then you have a dead battery.

If the battery is charged and you are not hearing anything, you may have a starter or starter wiring issue. Run a volt meter to your starter solenoid and check for proper amperage.
