It could very well be, if the engine is the 3.8L. There is a coolant pipe with a 90o angle, going into the front of the intake manifold. It has an "O" ring at the intake and another at the coolant bypass assembly. Quite often the "O" ring gets hard and leaks, or the plastic coolant pipe deteriorates and breaks inside the intake manifold. Either the coolant bypass / tensioner assembly will need to be removed or the intake manifold will have to be removed to replace the pipe.

Hello,
The O rings are there to provide passage of coolant throughout the pockets in your engine. Unfortunately the repair involves pulling the engine and rebuilding it. At some point the engine overheated and warped the layers of aluminum and steel. This exposes the O ring to extreme pressure and it breaks. You may want to weight the options of rebuilding or replacing your engine vrs. a different car. I wish I had a happier answer but I don't.
Regards, Tony

not to replace the o-rings in the plastic 90 degree elbow. Cant you just remove the tensioner and replace the elbows?

How do I locate an oil leak on the right side of a 3.0 toyota/

A V6? Almost certainly the right bank camshaft cover gasket. This is a dead cert with that engine sometime. Use genuine Toyota parts too when replacing it, the aftermarket gaskets last a year and then leak too. Another standard leak is the distributor shaft o-ring. The oil appears on the top of the trans case.

6 VE 1 oil leak top right timing belt cover

6ve1 engines are non interference and therefore will not bend valves and is why it uses a rubber timing belt.. leaks from top right hand side are likely the head gaskets on that side or the cam sprocket into the head seal has failed .. no biggie

Reoccuring Coolant Leak - Now major leak

The Jaguar XK8 has a coolant hose on the rear of the engine that is prone to leaking. The leak is typically on the right side, right above the catalytic converter. There is a quick disconnect fitting that has an o-ring in it. This O-ring fails with age, and the coolant leaks from the connector.

Not really. The head gasket is not mendable from outside with epoxy or inside with sealers. Good luck.

Antifreeze leak

check the 2 large hoses that come from the radiator, at the radiator and at the engine. if not there then your losing water into your engine, probably means your head gasket is cracked and about to blow
