The dust is everywhere inside. The dashboard is always covered...so are the seats. The dust is literally everywhere. When we have gone shopping, by the time we get home the shopping bags are even covered in dust. We travel on gravel roads, but we have had other vans and did not have this problem. Please help!

Are the vents open ? It shouldn't be to hard to locate where it's coming from, if your running your A/C then put the setting on interior recirculate not outside air (pulls outside air thru the fan). I could help out more but you didn't state the make model or year of your car.

The fuel pump doesnt kick on when turning the key on

If you can hear the fuel pump, it is getting voltage. But the change in it's normal sound/tone that it makes has me more concerned with the pump itself. Sometimes the pump gives you clues that it's about to fail, but not always. The sound change is an indicator something is wrong inside the fuel tank. Have you done a pressure and volume check yet? That's the only sure method to see if the pump is working properly. If you do have a failing pump, I would highly recommend replace the filter too! It's cheap and will save you a lot of headaches if they're done at the same time

Where is the fuse for the dashboard in a honda civic EX, the dashboard doesn't light up so i thought it is probably due to a blown fuse, only I can't figure out where the fuse is in the fuse panel

while seating at the driver's seat facing the steering wheel, fuse box is located at lower left part of your console. it is very close to the driver's door. there is normally a latch or cover there without label that you can remove. inside is the label for all the fuse and their respective ratings. look for the fuse of 'GAUGES' or 'DASH*'

Where is the heater core located in a 1996 Grand Marquis with a 4.5 liter engine? Is it difficult to change or labor intensive?

Above the passenger's feet inside the dashboard. they are a pain in the *** to replace. have it done at a shop where they specialize in car heating and A/C systems. if you pull a dozen dashboards out every month you get good at it and know any short cuts.

NO HEAT BUT THE BLOWER WORKS

Assuming you do not leave antifreeze puddles everywhere you park, you most likely have a heater core problem. With age they become blocked/restricted, the upshot being no heat is transferred to the body of the core. Core looks and works like a small radiator, because it is, generally located under the dashboard inside the car above the passenger's feet. Most likely you will not want to do this yourself as these days often requires removal of the dashboard to get at it. So a dealer, or an auto radiator/air conditioner shop, is the place to get this done. I would go with a shop before a dealer as their labor rates will be much lower.

Fuel Filter Location

I called the dealer and the dealer said it does not have an in-line fuel filter, but there is one the fuel tank (actually, it is a fuel pump strainer part#FS233 for $10.oo).
Put the rear seats down and open the trunk for ventilation and open the gas cap for gasoline pressure release.
The fuel pump cover is right behind the rear car seats in the trunk.
Be very careful when messing with gasoline. I will be replacing the strainer this weekend, but I plan to siphon out the gasoline before I do (I just feel safer with the tank empty)

Motor running in the back of an 89 gta 5.7 t.p.i.

The fuel pump is located inside the fuel tank which is in the rear of the car. It's powered by an electric motor. Check the owner's manual for location of fuses and relays. Some are located under the hood (either on the fender or firewall), others are under the dashboard (near your left foot), on the side of the dashboard (look for cover on side of dashboard with driver's door open) or even inside the glove compartment (if you have one). That sound of a motor running is normal, and may be louder if the tank is close to empty.

Power seat on drivers side of 1996 buick park ave. wont go in reverse every ting else works ok

Chances are one of the motors has gone out. There are 3 motors for each of your power seats. One controls the forward/backward motion, one controls up/down/tilt, and the third controls the reclining seat back. In my '95 model, there is one fuse for the seats under the driver's side dashboard. There should be a diagram inside the fuse panel cover denoting which one controls the seats. Hope that helps!

Instrument lights, Heating AC unit 2002 Maxima

You have to take the dash cover off. (just like when you want to change your radio).
It's not really that hard, but most people are uncomfortable when it comes to working on dashboards.

The options are, the dealer (expensive) a auto stereo shop (mid price)

The majority of dash covers are hled on by little spring clips. and just a few screws (which always seem to be placed in unusual locations). Start with taking the ashtray out (if equiped) and look for screws hidden behind it. (can be screws, can be screws with hex heads). So it's look for fasteners, give a little tug on the dash, if it feels solid, look for more fasteners.

Note*** Always make sure to have a small tray to keep all of the parts in. Also, any time I work on dashboards, I always put a blanket across the seats/center console so that parts don't slip down between them.

I've done dash work for years, and there is no one "exact" way that they come apart.

A/C will not turn off

you need to replace the controll station this is a common problem on the ranger the controller seems to send a signal to turn on the air con compressor go to the scrap yard and get the correct controll panel and replace it alot cheaper than the oem unit from the dealer at 195.00 here in canada so give that a shot or wire switch direct to the 12 volt compressor clutch wires alot cheaper good luck waiting to hear more re issue
