You can check the fuse, but if you hear the mechanism working when you turn on the radio and the antena does not go up, then you will have ot pull the antenna and replace the plastic gear strip that runs the antenna up and down. I would recommend that you get a haynes or chiltons manuel for your vehicle simply because you are apparntly going to be doing some work yourself. I purchased one for my son on ebay for just a few dollars.

2011 Jeep liberty acting weird after heater core replacement.

It sounds like there may be an issue with the electrical system of your 2011 Jeep Liberty after the heater core replacement. Here are some things you can check to diagnose the problem:
  1. Wiring: Make sure all the wiring has been properly reconnected and check for any loose or damaged wires.
  2. Fuses: Check the fuses to make sure they have not blown as a result of the electrical issue.
  3. Blower motor: If the blower motor is not functioning properly, it may be causing the issue with the blower speed. Check the motor for any damage or signs of wear and replace if necessary.
  4. Electrical control module: The electrical control module is responsible for controlling the various electrical components in your vehicle. If it is not functioning properly, it may be causing the issues with the blower and the radio.
  5. Radio: If the radio is only working on satellite, there may be an issue with the antenna or the connection to the antenna. Check the antenna and the connection to make sure everything is properly connected.

Replacing the Antenna on a 2000 Jeep Cherokee

this is how we did it for my Dads jeep his was a 98 so it should apply. let me know if it doesnt and i'll go break it down on my friends jeep 2000

Unscrew the antenna and the base flat base nut. Unfasten the mud guard in the wheel well enough to pull it aside and reach up to the antennae. Remove the kick panel to find where the cable enters the jeep.

Radio & anttena will not come on with ignition.

From the factory wiring there will be a red/white wire with a constant 12v and an ignition switched 12v wire which is red/gray. Hook those to corresponding wires on the aftermarket wiring harness. You may have the constant and switched wires backwards. Also the antenna trigger wire (usually blue on aftermarket radios) should be hooked up to the green/red wire on the factory harness.
