Lets do the easier question first. Have you checked the fuse for the fog lamps? if not the fuse for it is located in the power distribution box located in the engine compartment (see picture below). The fuse for the fog lamps is in the number 44 position and is a 15 amp fuse (see other picture below) now as far as your keyless entry code, this will be tricky but I will do my best to explain how to find it. I'll do my best or it's a 50 dollar trip to the dealer for you. Here i go. The keyless entry code is located on the computer module. The best way to get to the computer module is look behind the right rear panel in the "truck" space. First pull off the right rear seat belt panel then pull back the lower panel. You will see a green plug and the computer module is right below it. There should be a sticker on it with your five digit code. Everything should just snap back together when putting everything back. I hope you understood that as I'm not the best at explaining things. I hope this helps and good luck. If you have any other questions about your vehicle you can email me at [email protected] and I will do my best to help. Here's your pictures:

I dont know where to find the unlock code for the keyless entry on my 1993 mercury villager?

The only thing you can do is see if the dealer can get the code using the vin, otherwise you will need to replace the module for the keyless entry, i'm not sure if this year can be reprogramed.

We bought it used and we dont know the keyless

Take the plastic cover off of where the jack / wheel wrench is located on the rear left side. Standing in the back of the vehicle, look forward (toward the steering wheel) and you will see a computer module. The factory code is typed on that module. You might have to "carefully" pry the plastic out and do some mild acrobatics to see the code, but that is where it is. After you find the code, go to your owners manual and reset the code to your own numbers. You will have to do this every time the battery is disconnected, so you might want to just remember the factory code. Good Luck

Keyless entry

I bought a Ford and luckily the owner knew the code. Ford told me I would have to bring it to them if I didn't have code.

2000 Lincoln Towncar. Keypad on door will not unlock doors. Interior lights do come on. The last two keys pushed simultaneously will occasionally lock the doors. I am using the code printed on a sticker in...

The driver door module (DDM) is connected on the standard corporate protocol (SCP) communication network. The DDM controls many functions including power windows, power door locks and remote keyless entry. The DDM also communicates with the driver seat module (DSM) to control the power mirror and seat memory functions.
Do you know anything about automotive electronic control modules ?
The driver door module (DDM) receives inputs from the digital transmission range (DTR) sensor, ignition switch, seat switch, window/door lock switches, lighting control module (LCM), keyless entry keypad switch and remote transmitter. The DDM outputs consists of keyless entry keypad switch illumination, power door lock actuators, luggage compartment release solenoid, horn relay, and lighting control module (LCM).
Best thing to do would be to have a factory scan tool hooked up to check for DTC'S diagnostic trouble codes . That should be the first step if it's not programming the code.
  • The doors do not lock/unlock using the keyless entry keypad
  • Keypad.
  • Circuitry.

Keyless entry for a 1999 dont work maybe its a fuse, dont no need help.

Press each button one at a time to make sure the pad lights up each time. If it does not you have a bad keypad.

Did you have your own personal code programmed into the key-less entry? If the battery went dead or was disconnected it would have reverted back to the original.

Key Pad Entry does not work

does the key pad light when you press a button at night? If yes, the fuse is ok.
Do you have the plastic card with the permanent code in your owner manual packet? If yes, tryit.
report back.

Keyless Entry The keyless entry keypad is hardwired to the GEM. The GEM interprets the inputs from the keyless entry keypad and then controls the associated operation. The keyless entry keypad will be illuminated for five seconds when any button is pressed. Additionally, it will request the illuminated entry feature to turn the courtesy lamps on. If a lock all doors code is entered, the illumination will turn off, as well as request the illuminated entry feature to turn off the courtesy lamps. When pressed, the keyless entry keypad supplies the ground signal to the GEM or the GEM receives a signal from the keyless entry remote transmitter. Then the GEM outputs a ground signal to the appropriate lock or unlock relay which supplies the power to the actuator to lock or unlocks all doors, including the luggage compartment. The keyless entry remote transmitter also unlocks the liftgate or activates the panic alarm by sending a signal to the GEM.

Intermittent flashing lights when vehicle is turned off

Disconnect the negative battery cable. Leave it disconnected for a while. then reconnect so the cars computer box will reprogram to the default settings. If that does not work, you may possibly have to replace the box.the codes for keyless entry are individualized. The original owner may have the owners manual.
